I just up graded from 101 to the 401. I understand that the 401 with the SW and SW 2.3 soft wear had a problem with the location ( utm, lat and long ) reading off. My unit is the SW 2.4, is the 2.4 soft wear unit have the problem resolved and if not what can I do? Will garmin switch it out with a unit thatt works.? I do a lot of land nav in the state of alska and I really like the durability of the unit but I really need that function of the unit to work. Thank you :-)) Grover.

Hello Grover,

We are unaware with any issues. If you keep your unit up to date using Garmin webupdater any issues will be fixed. Getting a replacement unit will not fix the problem if it is software related. Here is Garmins phone number 1-800-800-1020. If you notice a problem please let them know so they can fix it.

Cheers
