Manufacturer Description |
The RAM Marine Grade Aluminum Mount with 4" Large Rubber Suction Base consists of the 1" dia. ball and socket system with RAM Universal Diamond Plate. This mount is designed to be a universal mounting solution for both RAM and non-RAM designed products. The hole pattern found on the Diamond Plate will connect to a large variety of third party cradles and mounts.
BASE DESIGN:
 The large 4 inch Rubber Suction Cup base has a 1.0" diameter Rubber Ball connected at right angles. The suction cup is designed to hold on any smooth non-porous surface, but for best result, mount the suction cup on a glass surface ¹ . For a layout of the suction cup dimensions and design, take a closer look with the RAM-B-224 Large Suctiobn Cup Base Design Drawings (pdf file).
¹ Important legal note to California and Minnesota Drivers
Note: Overtime the suction cup may become dirty, and not hold as well. If this happens, you will need to wash it in warm soapy water, and the mounting surface may need to be wiped with a cleaner (alcohol works best). Be sure to test a small area of the mounting surface before applying a cleaner as they can mark or discolor some materials (like plastic).
ARM DESIGN:
The Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum LONG Double Socket Arm is 5.25" long when measured between socket centers.
END PLATE DESIGN:
 The RAM-B-238 Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Universal Plate has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball connected at right angles to a 1 1/4 x 2 1/2 inch Diamond Plate. The plate has two pre-drilled holes positioned at either tip of the diamond plate. The hole pattern found on the Diamond Plate will connect to a large variety of RAM Mount and third party cradles and mounts, including those with the industry standard AMPS hole pattern.
