The RAP-B-121-AP8 Apple iPad and Pad 2 Series Clamp RAM Mount is a Marine Grade Plastic Mount with a Temporary Clamp Base and RAM Custom Plastic Cradle. The mount is designed with a RAM 1 inch diameter patented rubber ball and socket system that has adjustment point at the cradle and base. With a twist of the arm knob, you can move the Apple iPod and Pad 2 Series mount to your optimum viewing position.
Note: This mount does not require any drilling for installation.

Apple iPad Mount Cradle Design:
 The RAM-HOL-AP8 Apple iPad and iPad 2 RAM Mount Cradle is a High Strength Plastic Composite Cradle designed specifically to hold the Apple iPad and iPad 2 Series units
The cradle has a cut away at the bottom to allow the connection of all required cables. The cradle also enables full access to the volume and mute button on the side along with the power button and headphones jack at the top of the iPad.
When mounting the iPad cradle to a RAM Mount with their patented ball and socket system, you can easily display your iPad in landscape or portrait view. Now you can enjoy your Apple iPad the way it was designed - very easily.
Apple iPad Mount Cradle Plate Design: The RAP-B-202 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Composite Round Plate is designed to connected to the back of cradles with an AMPS hole pattern. The round plate has a 1.0 inch diameter rubber ball connected at right angles to the plate, which connects directly to the 1 inch arm socket. The cradle includes the required hardware to connect the plate to the cradle. For a layout of the hole spacing and 1.0 inch rubber ball location, take a closer look with the RAM-B-202 Design Drawings pdf file (Note: the Plastic RAP-B-202 Plate only has the AMPS square four hole pattern).
Apple iPad Mount Arm Design: The RAP-B-201 RAM Mount Dual Socket Arm is a 1 inch B size Ball Dual Socket Arm made of High Strength Plastic. The arm is 3.0 inches long between socket centers. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends. For a layout of the dimensions RAP-B-201 arm, take a closer look with the RAM-B-201 Aluminum Arm Design Drawings (pdf file).
Apple iPad Mount Base Design:
 The RAP-B-121B RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Universal Clamp Mount Base fits a rail or edge lip from 5/8'' to a maximum of 1 1/4''. The mounting base can also accept a second ball giving you the ultimate double ball base.
To mount the base, simply place the clamp ends around the rail and then screw the large knob at the end of the threaded rod. The hand tightened clamp makes this the perfect mounting system for rental planes, golf buggies or unusual shaped motorbike rails.
Note: The rail does not need to be perfectly round to mount this base.
