HANDLEBAR MOUNT FOR IPOD CLASSIC.
Pros: solid mount for the ipod Cons: too much road vibration for the hard drive
I bought this product to use with my 5th generation, 160 GB iPod classic. There were no mounting instructions, but it isn't rocket science, so that's not really an issue. The item was solidly built, and mounted firmly (I attached it to the handlebar stem) to my bicycle. In fact, it did everything that the seller claimed it would. The product arrived in a timely fashion.
The problem that I had with the item is that it provided too solid a mounting platform for my iPod. The iPod felt every bump and rattle from the road, which didn't seem to work too well with the internal hard drive. The result was poor playback that frequently stalled. After about an hour (and 20 miles) I concluded that the vibration from the mount was causing the playback trouble, so I discontinued using it. The was no harm to the iPod, although I would speculate that it could be possible to damage the hard drive due road vibration.
This product may indeed be a great solution for an iPod touch, or iPhone without an internal hard drive, but for those with an HD, don't bother.

POOR FIT
Pros: holds the ipod well Cons: plastic can be heard cracking as you put it on
Be ready to pull the grips and brake off your handlebar when using this mount. I have standard to small handlebars in diameter on my road bike - although it looks like it snaps over the handlebar, it barely fits and you can hear the plastic cracking when you try. There are no instructions to state otherwise, lots of extra screws, and what installation instructions existed said to use electrical tape instead of supplying a rubber grommet to go under it. The design of the mount was not well thought out.

WORKS PERFECTLY WITH IPOD CLASSIC
Pros: price, easy to mount Cons: none
This mount worked perfectly with iPod Classic. I have an Xtracycle bicycle which carries two big portable speakers so I can connect my iPod to my speakers from the mount with ease.
