The RAM-B-316-1-ASU1 UMPC RAM Mount RAM-POD-I is a Rigid Flex Rod Vehicle Floor Mount with RAM Plastic Cradle for the Asus R2H Mobile UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC).The UMPC mount is designed with a RAM 1 inch diameter RAM ball and socket system on a 18 inch long Aluminum Flexible Rod. With a twist of the arm knob, you can move the top arm on the Asus R2H Mobile UMPC mount to your optimum viewing position. The rigid flex arm requires two hands and a little strength to flex and bend it.
Asus R2H Mobile UMPC Mount Cradle Design:
The RAM-HOL-ASU1 High Strength Plastic Cradle is designed to hold the Asus R2H Mobile Tablet PC. The back of the cradle is connected to the four hole AMPS pattern on the RAM round plate with ball. The ball gives the cradle the ability to connect to the RAM arm on this mount and also creates a ball and socket joint allowing you to move the cradle into many different viewing locations. All cables can stay connected to the unit while in the RAM cradle.
Asus R2H Mobile UMPC Mount Arm Design: The RAP-B-200-1 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Single Socket Short Arm has a B Size 1 inch Ball Socket at one end, and a Female Octagon button connection at the other. The Octagon Button end will mount on the end of the Aluminum Flex Rod, allowing the 1 inch socket to hold your device cradle or plate. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket end.
Asus R2H Mobile UMPC Mount Base Design: The RAM-316-1A RAM Mount Rigid Arm Base consists of a RAM octagon at the end of a 18 inch rigid flex arm with seat rail base. The RAM-POD-I mounting foot plate base is designed to connect to a vehicle seat rail bolt in your Car, Truck, SUV, RV, Big Rig or bolted location. Connected at right angles to the mounting foot is an 18 inch long Aluminum Flexible Rod. This rod can hold light to medium weight items in your vehicle safely and securely. At the top of the rigid flex rod is a male RAM High Strength Plastic Octagon Button that will connect directly to a RAM Female Octagon Button Arm.
Movement of the Rigid 18 inch Flex Arm:It is important to note that the rigid 18 inch flex arm found on this mount is designed to hold an approximate weight of up to 4 lbs. With this in mind, the aluminum rod is more rigid than flexible. It is designed to be bent into position when being installed and then hold it's position. This means you cannot move the mount around once installed with just one hand.
