GOOD IDEA, BAD ADHESIVE
Pros: provides good base for suction mounts.
Cons: tape is crummy, must buy other
The adhesive that comes with it doesn't even stick to the plate, much less my dash. I bought some 3m auto tape and works great. With the 3m tape, the plate is very solid and allows me to keep the mount off my windshield. I like to use a sun visor and having the suction on my dash is much better that on my windshield. Plus, I can mount it lower and less conspicious from the outside looking in.

POOR ADHESIVE
Pros: good idea for uneven surface
Cons: poor execution
Not sure if the product I received was old bit the double sided adhesive that came with this device was not very strong. It was not even strong enough to hold my RAM Mount with out my device. Also. Because there are little flanges attached to the adhesive, there's not enough surface area for the adhesive to grip. Eventually one of the base flaps will lose contact with the adhesive and come loose. Stick to the flat disks. I asked for a replacement and they are sending a replacement

ADHESIVE DISC DOES NOT WORK.
Pros: mount is well built.
Cons: adhesive disc is worthless.
I bought this to mount my garmin GPS in my center console. The mount itselt is very sturdy and well built, but the adhesive disc (right out of the package) does not stick to anything. It looks like I will have to find an alternative to it so I can use this mount. Even though this was not expensvie I still expect something as simple as the adhesive disc to actually work.

The plate itself is fine. Unfortunately the adhesive supplied with the plate just doesn't work. Not only would it not stick to my dash, the adhesive strip wouldn't even stick to the plate. Therefore unless you are willing to find you own adhesive I would rate this as complete waste of money. Btw I found a mounting plate in The Source (ex Radio Shack) That worked perfectly.

The mount itself works fine and does what it's supposed to.
The adhesive it comes with is useless just barely sticky and comes right off. You'll need separate adhesive to use this mount.

This is a horrible waste of money! It wouldnt stick on the irregular surface like it was advertised to! I ve had the same problems with other ram disc plates

IT LOOKS LIKE A GOOD IDEA....
Pros: it looks like a good design.
Cons: it does not work at all.
But, it's junk. The adhesive doesn't work. It's a nice looking mount and I wish it did work. I even ordered a couple more adhesive disks to try to make it work. I cleaned the dash with alcohol, even placed a weight on it for several hours. It's just barely sticky and the GPS will pull it off within seconds.
Looking at the other reviews, I don't know why they keep selling this model.

POOR CHOICE
I selected this item to mount my Garmin to the dask of a 2009 F-250. I thought with the rose design I could mount it on a surface that wasn't quite flat. The petals on the unit are so stiff and the glue would not adhere to the dash.

WOULD NOT ADHERE TO SURFACE
Purchased a GPS mount and am very happy with it, but bought two of these bases and they would not adhere to the surface I needed. It was a hard plastic surface on the console of a boat. Purchasing the Ram base with ball instead. A better option in the end.

POOR adhesive, would not stick to my dash. When I first saw this item I thought, What a great idea for the contour of your dash But the crappy adhesive would not stick to my dash, I cleaned my dash with alcohol prior to sticking the mount to my dash. My flat disk that came with my gps stuck to my dash quit well with only about 40 0/0 of the adhesive on the dash, doesn't look as good but works a lot better then the ram mount. of the adhesive Ram mount did not reply to my email.

RAP-350 FOLLOW UP

Tried another adhesive disk and this time gave it more than a week to 'set'. Same result as before, virtually no adhesion, nowhere near enough to support anything. Contacted the company and they had no solution to offer. Product is a write-off as far as I'm concerned.

ROSE PETAL MOUNT - A FLOWER WITHERED?
Pros: good idea - the need is there
Cons: not so sure about the execution, poor instructions
Like Phil, I couldn't get the 'flower petals' to retain a bend, so I e-mailed RAM about it. I was told "bend them further, they will bend and hold the position, if you break it I'll send you a new one". The good news is that I didn't manage to break it, but the bad news is, try as I might, the petals wouldn't retain any bend at all. I tried using mild heat (hot water and placing on a heating register) no better. Finally tried using a paint stripper heat gun and that worked. A hair drier might have been better (less intense heat) 'cause I came close to melting it!
Next the adhesive. Like Phil and Don, not much luck with this either, at least not so far. Followed the instructions, but a mild tug after the prescribed 24 hour cure period and it came off easily leaving just a bit of residue on the dash - very poor adhesion. Cleaned up the dash and am trying again, but after another 24 hrs it still doesn't look promising. I think it needs pressure during cure, but it's on a sloping surface, so that's out.
Finally the flat (suction surface). On mine the surface looks to have a number of imperfections, so I'm not sure whether it'll hold suction or not. If the adhesive ever grabs so I can mount my Nuvi to it, I'll report back.

NOT THOUGHT OUT
Pros: necessity to mount suction to anything other glass
Cons: useless for mounting to anything resistant to glue
To start, the adhesive supplied is useless. It barely has enough tack to stick to itself. They really should have included a high tack adhesive.
The flat side is great. The suction of a mount adheres perfectly. The "flower" side is questionable. It is to stiff to conform to anything but a convex surface. I was trying to mount to a more concave spot and the plastic actually resisted the shape. Given this plus the poor adhesive made it unusable as I had planned.
But even when I attempted to mount to a convex surface, the adhesive couldn't hold it more than a second and the "flower" again was almost to stiff to conform to the shape of my dash.
I plan to try a little super glue or some such but haven't had the chance. I will see. Not that I have much faith unless I can heat the plastic enough to conform to my ideal convex spot. (I do not recommend heating plastic without proper ventilation.)

BLACK ROSE ADHESIVE PLATE
I bought 4 of these to replace the weighted circle mount. The adhesive of the rose petals would not adhere solid enough to the sash to support a nuvi GPS. Also the same happened on my motorcycle fairing. There is another mount without the petals that I would sooner have had that sticks better.
