RAM SUCTION CAMERA MOUNT
Pros: its as good as they say it is. Cons: none
GPS City got it delivered in short order. The suction mount performed as well as advertised. I've given it a few good test runs with the camera and haven't shaken it loose yet. The camera rides smooth and steady..

DOES EVERYTHING IT SAYS!
Pros: sturdy, almost no vibration Cons: middle piece very short and awkward to position
Great stuff, did not give it 5 stars because there is no way to mount a camcorder on the windshield with it because of the length of the middle piece. We had to buy the friction mount base to put it on the dashboard. It worked great anyway!

HUMMER H3 MOUNT
Pros: well made
I bought this for my Hummer H3 and because of the near verticle windshield it works great. No extension needed. I'm using a Sony HDR-CX150. I chose this camera over the hardrive version to prevent lock up or damage. I got this mount with the plate on it to put less stress on the camera's threaded insert. I saw a friend use the one with just the bolt for a week in Moab on rough trails and it worked great. He was brave enough to even mount it outside the vehicle for interesting angles and it held on. The videos look good. There is just enough movement to take out jolts and keeps the video smooth. I have quite a few accessories and a computer mount by ram and it is good quality equipment. I give it a work out where I go.

MOUNTED IN JEEP
I had been looking for mounts for quite some time and I was advised to check out this one to see if it would meet my needs.
We in a few words it has admirably, the only issue I had was in trying to mount the suction cupo to the dash, it would not stay. So i have since mounted it to the windshield and it works great.
I would recommend this product for anyone trying to film from a vehicle.

WORKS WELL
Pros: strong, convenient, adjustable Cons: none
The suction cup is very strong and holds up pretty well. I have a Mazda3 and unfortunately it does not stick to the dashboard (because it's textured) but works on the windshield. As an other user pointed out, the 3" arm is too short (at least for my car) so you either need to get a longer arm or, in my particular case, I just turned the camera up-side-down (the footage still visible corectly on the LCD) and just flip the resulting video in software. REALLY GOOD CAMERA SUCTION MOUNT
Pros: compatible accessories
If you will place the mount in your windshield you will need a longer arm, other than that it's a Great mount!

BEST CAMERA MOUNT
Pros: can be used with friction mount Cons: none
I love this camera mount. I can stick it directly to the dash of my Ford F-550. I have to use the friction mount to use in my Dodge 5500. I use it to hold my JVC camcorder. There is very little shake while driving.

SUCKS TOO HARD
Pros: does what it says Cons: does what it says
Too solid for my video camera. Resulting video shakes like a ... something that shakes too much. Not smooth like smooth thing.

WORKS GREAT
Pros: for the money it works better then headrest mount
This is my first try at a suction cup mount and it worked flawlessly the first time I used it. Would recommend it to anyone wanting a solid mount for their video camera in the car. My videos came out better then I expected.

STRONG MOUNT
Pros: solid and simple Cons: doesn't fit everywhere
So far I've stuck it on nearly every panel of my car for autocross and several parts of my bike just for fun. The thread came out of the mount the first time I used it, but a little LocTite fixed that. Larger cameras and some mounting positions (like the windshield facing forward) may require a longer arm. I bought an additional 5" arm and a double ball and it goes almost anywhere now with a slight sacrifice in camera shake. The mounting plate is in the way of my battery/memory card door -- not a big deal and easily solved with a different camera thread ball without the plate.

RAM CAMERA MOUNT
i purchased this to mount a camcorder or camera on the inside of the windshield, aimed forward. Because of the windshield slant, the mount is not suitable for aiming the camera/camcorder forward, unless the camera/camcorder is mounted upside-down to look below the suction cup. However, I purchased a second, longer clamp arm and a double ball joint that permit the camera/camcorder to be positioned farther aft of the windshield, and to aim forward to the side of the suction cup. That position is satisfactory, but the two arms and four joints are not as stable, so it tend to rest the camera/camcorder weight on the dash and rely on the arm to just maintain the desired aim. It is prudent to attach a security lanyard to the camera/camcorder, because the suction cup grip may not always be stable. I have had a suction cup drop a camera. This setup has worked better than the Panavise mount or the Manfrotto mounts, which have the same interference problem with the windshield but do not offer additional arms to move the camera farther away from the windshield.
