The RAM-B-316-1-202A RAM-POD-I Vehicle Floor Mount consists of a RAM 1 inch diameter RAM ball and socket system on a 18 inch long Aluminum Rigid Flexible Rod with an Aluminum Camera Thread Plate. The male thread on the plate is 1/4''-20 and will connect to all cameras and video camcorders with the matching female thread on the bottom on the camera.
Camera Thread Mount Cradle Design:
The RAM-B-202A RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Universal Camera Plate has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball connected at right angles to a 2.5 inch diameter Plate with a centered 1/4''-20 thread. The plate adds support to thread, allowing a more stable connection with the camera.
Note: The male 1/4'' long, 1/4''-20 thread in the middle of the 2.5'' diameter plate will connect to the standard female thread found at the bottom of most still and video cameras. An alternative to this camera mounting system is the RAM-B-237 Male 1/4''-20 Threaded Ball.
Camera Thread Mount Arm Design: The RAP-B-200-1 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Single Socket Short Arm has a B Size 1 inch Ball Socket at one end, and a Female Octagon button connection at the other. The Octagon Button end will mount on the end of the Aluminum Flex Rod, allowing the 1 inch socket to hold your device cradle or plate. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket end.
Camera Thread Mount Base Design: The RAM-316-1A RAM Mount Rigid Arm Base consists of a RAM octagon at the end of a 18 inch rigid flex arm with seat rail base. The RAM-POD-I mounting foot plate base is designed to connect to a vehicle seat rail bolt in your Car, Truck, SUV, RV, Big Rig or bolted location. Connected at right angles to the mounting foot is an 18 inch long Aluminum Flexible Rod. This rod can hold light to medium weight items in your vehicle safely and securely. At the top of the rigid flex rod is a male RAM High Strength Plastic Octagon Button that will connect directly to a RAM Female Octagon Button Arm.
Movement of the Rigid 18 inch Flex Arm:It is important to note that the rigid 18 inch flex arm found on this mount is designed to hold an approximate weight of up to 4 lbs. With this in mind, the aluminum rod is more rigid than flexible. It is designed to be bent into position when being installed and then hold it's position. This means you cannot move the mount around once installed with just one hand.
