| RAM Mount Chrome Rail Base Diamond Plate Assembly Description |
The RAM-B-149CH Chrome Plated Cradle Plate Motorcycle RAM Mount is a Marine Grade Aluminum Mount with a Motorcycle Stainless Steel U-Bolt Rail Base and Diamond Plate. The cradle diamond plate has a hole pattern that matches the industry standard AMPS hole pattern and will connect to a large variety of RAM Mount and third party cradles. The pivot points for this mount consist of the RAM 1 inch diameter patented rubber ball and socket system and are located at the cradle plate and base ends. With a twist of the arm knob, you can move the cradle plate mount to your optimum viewing position.
Universal Cradle Plate Mount Options:
 To help ensure you have the Universal Diamond Plate Mount you require, take a look at the list of available diamond plate mounts with a double hole pattern on the RAM Cradle Diamond Plate and Mounts Page. Here you can select from suction cup mounts, flat surface screw down mounts, car mounts, wall mounts and more bundled with a RAM-B-238 Diamond Plate for cradle mounting.
Universal Cradle Plate Mount Plate Design: The RAM-B-238CH Chrome Plated Marine Grade Aluminum Universal Plate has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball connected at right angles to a 1 1/4 x 2 1/2 inch Diamond Plate. The plate has two pre-drilled holes positioned at either tip of the diamond plate. The hole pattern found on the Diamond Plate will connect to a large variety of RAM Mount and third party cradles and mounts, including those with the industry standard AMPS hole pattern. Universal Cradle Plate Mount Arm Design: The RAM-B-201CH Chrome Plated Marine Grade Aluminum Dual Socket Arm is a 1 inch B size Ball Socket Arm with open socket ends. The arm is 3.0 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Chrome Plating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends. Universal Cradle Plate Mount Base Design: The RAM-B-231CH Chrome Plated Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Base has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball designed to sit at right angles to the mounting rail. The Stainless Steel U-Bolt and nuts included will fit a circular rail with diameter from 3/4 to 1.0 inch.
To mount the rail base, place the top of the base on the rail and then slide the u-bolt around the rail, into the holes in the base top. Now tighten the screws onto the u-bolt until the base is clamped firmly. If you desire, you can now slot the black plactice covers over the exposed ends of the u-bolt.
NOTE: This base is completly rust proof.
For Small Rail Mounting:
For a smaller rail, you can purchase the RAM Mount Plastic U-Bolt Adapter for circular rails with diameter down to 0.5 inches.
For Larger Rail Mounting:
For a larger rail, you can purchase the RAM Mount Stainless Steel Large Rail U-Bolt for circular rails with diameter up to 1.25 inches.
