PERFECT FUNCTION, ADEQUATE AESTHETICS

Cons: finish could be prettier
Worked perfectly for mounting my GPS unit to a particular place on my motorcycle.
The attention to aesthetic detail is kind of poor. The black finish tends to chip off of the rubber coated ball and the aluminum base. The seams in the metal are not filed and polished down, so they are visible through the finish.
Overall, the product works great. Nobody's really staring at the mount plate's finish anyway.

RAM MOUNT CRADLE FOR TOMTOM
Perfect fit for my TomTom XXL 540M.
I have it mounted on my Harley Davidson Ultra Classic. The RAM-B-238U Diamond Plate 1 inch Ball attaches to a RAM-HOL-TO10U Cradle, RAM-B-201U-A Short Arm B-Socket and Brake/Clutch Master Cylinder Reservoir U-Bolt Mount.
For bad weather conditions I use the RAM-B-174-AQ6U Waterproof Aqua Box which came with the Motorcycle Brake/Clutch Master Cylinder Reservoir U-Bolt Mount.

Mounted this Diamond Plate to one of the screws holding my gas tank down on my Honda VFR and it fits perfect. Might redrill the holes so I can use both bolts but it seems to be holding really solid for now.

ALTERNATIVE MOUNTING POINT
Pros: universal mount
I had a difficult time trying to find a good mounting point on my 1991 Katana. I wanted something that was centered and I did not want it to move when I turned my handle bars. The Mount Diamond Plate is a great solution. I mounted it between the speedometer and the tachometer, just above the gas gauge. I put fender washers underneath to provide stable support.

Recieved in time and in good condition. High quality.
Not in service as of this review but trust it will work quite well as other purchase of similar part has been in service for several years with no problems.
Plan to use this on a Honda NX250 dual purpose bike to mount a Garmin Nuvi550 GPS. When spring comes,I plan to see how vibration free the setup is: GPS cradle 2 -- 1" balls short arm RAM Handlebar Rail mount ( P/N RAM-HOL-GA32U ) on the NX250's handlebars.
Am hoping I can get the GPS higher up from the handlebar then present GPSMAP60CSx which is very close to bar. Again, "vibration" is a concern.

I needed to mount my handheld GPS in my Jeep. I immediately ran into trouble with limited space for the 3" round base that the mount came with. I replaced the round base with the diamond base and I was able to mount the GPS without it taking up valuable space. I used this on the back of my RAM Triton 2000 mount. It fit with easy. I used a RAM mirror mount on the bike. I wasn't sure It would hold under the hard off road conditons I used it for. It works great easy to install and move, holds tight om my Husky TE 450 under big G out conditions.

Part was great for mounting RAM to '05 Honda CBR 1000 RR's. It needed only little bit bigger holes, but they were easy to modify/enlarge. Removing Honda's HESD plastic cover reveals a great place to attach this RAM-mount.

I found also that it fits exactly with the mounting holes on the back of the cradle of a Starmate Satellite radio. It is well suited to the task I have for it and well made. I will have no problems installing it on the bracket for the plane I fly and feel it will be dependable in holding the tablet GPS we use.

IT DOES WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO DO.

Another Ram product with outstanding quality. Was mounting my Magellan GPS to my snowmobile but the round Mounting Plate was too large for the tight space on the haqndle bar riser. The smaller diamond plate fit the bill perfectly without any loss of strength or stability.

EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR
I needed this to connect with an existing older instalation. I eas un-able to find it on the manufacturers web site because it was not directly associated with any specific system as required in their search engine.
The Customer Service Representitive at GPS CITY located it in about two seconds.

Pros: quality, ease of install
Product is one of good quality and was easily installed on the back of a Garmin Nuvi 205 GPS so that I could use it on my motorcycle. Once installed, I slipped the ball into the socket arm, adjusted it and rode off. It works very well.

WORKS GREAT
I bought this to use with the mount for my blackberry Bold. I already had the Garmin mount, so I can easily loosen the arm and remove the Garmin mount and swap it for the BB Bold mount... works great. Simple part, strong, no vibration, easy to adjust.

NO.1 B SIZE PART.
Pros: versitile, strong and the perfect size range
Cons: none that i can think of.
This has to be the most versitile part in the Ram Mount System. It fits so many applications as part of a base and/or part of a holder. The "B" size is perfect, not too small and not too big. I have quite a few.

What can I say, it's a solid mounting ball. If the ball's stem is horizontal on the cradle, the ball's stem on the other end should be vertical for the best adjustability.

Used with the mounting cradle, it holds my Nuvi very securely on the RAM mount. It is well-made and fits perfectly. It allows the GPS to be easily removed, even with gloved hands. It does exactly what I hoped it would do.
