Manufacturer Description |
The RAM-B-309-7-C2 Camera Thread Double Arm Motorcycle Kit RAM Mount is a Marine Grade Aluminum Mount with a motorcycle brake/clutch reservoir base PLUS multi u-bolt system and 2.5" diameter Camera Thread B-Ball plate. The male thread matches most standard camera and camcorder female threads found on the bottom of cameras. The pivot points for this mount consist of the RAM 1 inch diameter patented rubber ball and socket system and are located at the cradle plate and base ends. With a twist of the arm knob, you can move the camera thread mount to your optimum viewing position.
Camera Mount Plate Design:
The RAM-B-202A RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Universal Camera Plate has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball connected at right angles to a 2.5 inch diameter Plate with a centered 1/4"-20 thread. The plate adds support to thread, allowing a more stable connection with the camera.
Note: The male 1/4" long, 1/4"-20 thread in the middle of the 2.5" diameter plate will connect to the standard female thread found at the bottom of most still and video cameras. An alternative to this camera mounting system is the RAM-B-237 Male 1/4"-20 Threaded Ball.
Camera Mount Arm Design:
 The RAM-B-201 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Dual Socket Arm is a 1 inch B size Ball Socket Arm with open socket ends. The arm is 3.0 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends. Camera Mount Arm Design:
 The RAM-B-201-A RAM Mount Dual Socket Short Arm is a 1 inch B size Ball Dual Socket Arm made of Marine Grade Aluminum. The arm is 1.75 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends. Universal Cradle Plate Mount Base Design:
 The RAM-B-309-7 RAM Mount Motorcycle Kit Base can mount to either the clutch/ brake reservoir or directly to a round handle bar rail. The base is constructed of marine grade aluminum with an integrated 1 inch diameter rubber ball, hardware for rail mounting and both standard and metric mounting bolts for motorcycle reservoir mounting. The zinc coated metal u-bolt and nuts included are designed it fit on most motorcycle round handlebars, or any circular rail or pipe with diameter from 1/2 to 1.25 inches.
The base connects to the left or right side of your handlebar clutch/brake reservoir on the Honda Goldwing and other select motorcycles or you can connect directly to your handlebars with the u-bolt hardware. To see if this base will work with your motorcycle, check the hole spacing of the base against your clutch/brake reservoir. The holes centers have a minimum width of 0.94 inches and a maximum of 1.58 inches.
