Greetings, I wanted to be able to use my Moto Droid navigation, listen to music, and take an occasional call while on my motorcycle. I needed something clean looking. centered, sturdy, and I did not want it to turn with the steering. With that in mind I used two RAM diamond balls, a long RAM connecting arm and the universal finger mount. The set up works great. The folks at GPSCity worked with me getting the right parts to make it work. I will be working on the same set up for my wife's motorcycle shortly. |

I needed a solid mount for my iPhone when in the car. I used the iPhone cradle with 2 diamond plates and a standard length arm to mount the iPhone in a Honda Element. I used some high strength 3M tape on the back of one of the diamond plates to attach it to the console, as I didn't want to drill any holes.
The mount works perfectly and is extremely stable- no jiggle at all! |

I mounted two diamond plate bases with 1" ball on the inner fairing. The left is used for a Garmin GPS Map 396, which moves from bike to truck to boat to airplane depending on the mission of the day. The right is used for a cup holder or Ipod mount depending on need for the ride. |

 List of Parts I Used | | | |

I mounted a Garmin SreetPilot 7200 in my motor home for a LOT less money than I'd have had to pay to have one installed by the factory. Instead of the Garmin stock mount, I mounted it on the face of the dash using a Ram Mount with two ball joints. I purchased the parts from Expressmounts.com.
The SP7200 is a great GPS mapping system that is large, easy to see and intuitive to use. And it comes loaded with features. This model also plays Audible Books, MP3 music, and even XM radio. You can plug in an SD card to store a vast amount of music, audio books, and POI's. I wired the audio lead into the Aux #2 input of the dash Magnadyne Radio. The 12v lead is wired to the dash radio switch so that it works with the ignition off. There are no wires laying on the dashboard making for a very clean installation. |
