Manufacturer Description |
The RAM-B-138-MA6 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Screw Down Plate Mount consists of the 1 inch diameter ball and socket system with RAM Plastic Cradle for the Magellan eXplorist XL.
The Magellan eXplorist 100, 200, 210, 300, 400, 500 and 600, WILL NOT fit this cradle. These units require the RAM Mount Screw Down Plate Mount for the eXplorist series (RAM-B-138-MA5).
Mount Base Design:
 The RAM-B-202 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Screw Down Plate has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball connected at right angles to a 2.5 inch diameter Plate. The plate has pre-drilled holes in the base plate, including the universal AMPS hole pattern. For a layout of the hole spacing and 1.0 inch rubber ball location, take a closer look with the RAM-B-202 Design Drawings (pdf file).
Mount Base Mounting Solutions:Mounting hardware is NOT included with the purchase of the RAM-B-202. A semi-permanent solution for mounting this base is by using the RAM double sided adhesive disk (RAM-202PSA). The disk will hold the RAM-B-202 base in many different locations without screws.
Mount Arm Design:
 The RAM Mount Dual Socket Arm (RAM-B-201) is a B Size 1 inch Ball Dual Socket Arm, made of Marine Grade Aluminum. The arm is 3 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends.
Mount Cradle Design:
 The RAM-HOL-MA6 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Cradle is designed to hold Magellan Handheld GPS, including the following units,
The Magellan eXplorist 100, 200, 210, 300, 400, 500 and 600, WILL NOT fit this cradle. These units require the RAM Mount Cradle for the Magellan eXplorist Series (RAM-HOL-MA5).
All cables can stay connected to the unit while in the RAM cradle.
