| RAM Mount eXplorist XL Zinc U-Bolt Rail Mount Description |
The RAM-B-149Z-MA6 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Motorcycle Handlebar Mount with Zinc Coated U-Bolt Base consists of the 1 inch diameter RAM ball and socket system with RAM Plastic Cradle for the Magellan eXplorist XL Series.
The Magellan eXplorist 100, 200, 210, 300, 400, 500 and 600, WILL NOT fit this cradle. These units require the RAM Mount Stainless Steel U-Bolt Base Mount for the eXplorist series (RAM-B-149Z-MA5).
Mount Base Design:
 The RAM-B-231Z RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Base has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball designed to sit at right angles to the mounting rail. The Zinc Coated metal U-Bolt and nuts included are designed it fit on most motorcycle round handlebars, or any circular rail or pipe with diameter from 3/4 to 1.0 inch.
To mount the rail base, place the top of the base on the rail and then slide the u-bolt around the rail, into the holes in the base top. Now tighten the screws onto the u-bolt until the base is clamped firmly. If you desire, you can now slot the black rubber covers over the exposed ends of the u-bolt.
Note: If you are looking to use this mount in the elements, we suggest the RAM-B-231 Stainless Steel U-Bolt Mount.
Mount Arm Design:
 The RAM Mount Dual Socket Arm (RAM-B-201) is a B Size 1 inch Ball Dual Socket Arm, made of Marine Grade Aluminum. The arm is 3 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends.
Mount Cradle Design:
 The RAM-HOL-MA6 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Cradle is designed to hold Magellan Handheld GPS, including the following units,
The Magellan eXplorist 100, 200, 210, 300, 400, 500 and 600, WILL NOT fit this cradle. These units require the RAM Mount Cradle for the Magellan eXplorist Series (RAM-HOL-MA5).
All cables can stay connected to the unit while in the RAM cradle.
