GREAT IDEA
Pros: easy install. doesn't clutter up the bars. Cons: none yet.
My street glide has extra holes on the hand controls since the mirrors are mounted to the fairing and I was able to bolt it right in there. No ugly u-bolt on the handlebar.

HANDY!
Cons: too expensive
As simple as this little thing is, it really allowed me to put a mount for a camera in a very tight and option poor location.

NICE BALLS!
Pros: good grip with mating arm. Cons: none yet.
These balls are great, they are made from some sort of rubber compound that's soft enough and sticky enough that when mated with an arm they provide excellent grip. I mounted this to a homemade plate mounted between the bars of my ST1300.

GREAT GADGET
I use this ball to mount my Hero video camera in all sorts of odd places on my motorcycle, allowing me to get some very interesting shots. If I'm using the camera in really rough terrain, I've drilled a couple of tiny holes in the wing nut of the mounting arm so I can safety wire the unit, so there is no chance of it vibrating loose.

FEMALE 1/4-20 THREAD 1
I have used this particular ball for numerous mounting situations where I previously used the wider based mounting for the 1" ball. It allows the use of smaller mounting surfaces, such as 3/4" square tubing and in some cases 1/2" and 3/4" round tubing. Unless I need to spread a significant torque load over a large surface, this mount is my choice.

DOES THE JOB
used this to put a Ram long arm on an Ultra-pod base clamp plus Ram large camera thread base plate for mounting a camera on my motorcycle. The metal female thread base is stout enough for the job.

IT WORKS
Pros: the part is good Cons: the shipping cost to much.through a stamp on
The ball itself works great. But by the time you get it with the cost of the part and then the cost of shipping.15 bucks is a lot of money for a little ball.

BALL MOUNT FOR HOBIE I12S
I have a hobiecat inflatable kayak which has accessory plates using 1/4-20 screws. I fastened this mount to the plate to attach a GPS and a cup holder. It works great and allows much flexibility in positioning the items.
