EASY TO ADAPT TO MOUNTING PLATE
Pros: ram built - quality is great and consistant
Cons: did not come with 1/4
In my 2009 F-150 STX, there is a depressed area, center of dashboard. built a plate to fit this area and directly mounted the RAM ball mount [1/4" NC thread] to the plate. Now I transfer my Garmin 40LM from my car to the truck in less than a minute.

PERFECT BALL TO ADD A MOUNT WHERE YOU NEED IT.
Pros: perfect for making your own ram mount setup.
Cons: none!
I made a 1/4" thick aluminum mount plate and used this ball to connect the RAM mount for my GPS. I bought a 1/4 x 20 SS button screw(allen head) from a local ACE hardware store and I did not even need to hold the ball with pliers while I tighten the screw. It is very secure and feels solid.
Recommend? YES

BALL MOUNT
used for a home made bracket for a camera mount but works very well with standard tripods as well

WORKS WELL
This piece works well if you want to make your own bracket which I did. I didn't want the handlebar clamp, and the 45 degree mount didn't work. So, I make my own bracket and used this ball.
Recommend? YES
