Manufacturer Description |
The RAM-VB-152-SWX Vehicle Mount Assembly with 1.5" Open Socket, is the ideal foundation for you to create the perfect Vehicle RAM Mounting System. The No Drill Vehicle Base of this system has been designed specifically for mounting in the following vehicles: - Ford Escape (2005-Newer)
- Mazda Tribute (2005-Newer)
- Mercury Mariner (2005-Newer)
The Vehicle Mount Assembly consists of four components. The vehicle specific base, the RAM telescoping tele-pole, a RAM dual swing arm system and a 1.5" open socket used for the RAM patented rubber ball and socket system.
No Drill Steel Base The No Drill Steel Plate Base installs quickly and easily to the existing bolts connecting the passengers seat to the vehicle floor. The base plate mounts in a position to maximize the passengers leg space while also creating a foundation for the RAM telescoping tele-pole.
Telescoping Tele-Pole The Telescoping Tele-Pole has a height range of 12 to 18 inches and is easily adjusted by turning the knob at the top of the post. Once the knob has been tightened, the tele-pole becomes a rigid support for the mounting system.
Dual Swing Arm System Connected to the top of the tele-post is a Dual Swing Arm System which includes two 6 inch arms joined with a hand adjustable knob. The arms allow easy movement and positioning of a connected device for either the driver or the passenger.
RAM 1.5" Open Socket End The Dual Swing Arm ends in a RAM 1.5" Open Socket. To complete this RAM Vehicle Mount Assembly, you will require a cradle or mounting plate, with a 1.5" Rubber Ball. The patented rubber ball and socket joint allows tilting adjustment to the cradle as well as shock and vibration isolation so it is ideal for all types
RAM Tele-Pole Vehicle Mount System:
The RAM Vehicle Mount Tele-Pole System is a unique patent pending design that allows varying height adjustments.
At the top of the tele-pole is a knob. With a small twist of the knob, the swing arm is free to rotate in a 360 degree circle in the horizontal plane, while the tele-pole is locked in the vertical position. With another small twist of the knob, the tele-pole is now free to move up and down for optimum mount positioning of your laptop in your vehicle.
This easy to operate vehicle mounting system is included in the entire RAM-VB Laptop Vehicle Mounts. As with all RAM Mount products, it is strong, easy to use and reliable and includes A LIFETIME MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY.
To understand more about the RAM Tele-Pole System, take a look at the Tele-Pole Assembly instructions (pdf file).
