THIS IS THE RIGHT SIZE
It fits my etrex legend (b/w version, not color screen), just a little bit loose on top but does not affect the function at all. Guess that's what it needs to get the unit in or out. I need this to complete my dirt bike mount (Ram) and it works well. I've been out on trail with it for a couple of times on rocky, bouncy trail, it holds up well. Highly recommended.

VERY GOOD GPS CRADLE
The cradle mounted up to the mount that I had with no trouble.It holds the GPS securely. I do use the strap to tie the unit to something besides the mount, just in case. JON

GPS RAM MOUNT FOR GARMIN VISTA
Pros: ram mount well engineered
Cons: cradle is poorly designed
RAM mount is well engineered but the cradle is not. It has damaged the rubber seal/surround of my GPS unit during placement/removal of GPS from the cradle. I am thinking of using a hacksaw to remove the top portion of the cradle so the GPS is easier to insert and to reduce the probability of further damage.

VERY GOOD GPS MOUNT

OUTSTANDING MOUNT
Mount holds like a charm and it's super tough, I used it to mount my GPS to a 2009 Yamaha FX Cruiser SHO. 60mph on rough water... no problem!!

POSSIBLE FLAW
Pros: good access to all buttons when mounted
After my first pretty serious off-road motorcycle event with this mounted on my bars I noticed that the left hand upper part of the brkt was bent outward a fair amount, allowing the GPS to move around a bit. At first I thought the plastic may have actually cracked, but it hasn't, it just bent outward for some reason. I'm going to take a heat gun to it and try to bend it back into the correct position. Otherwise it and the rest of the mounting hardware are top notch, and the shipping was very quick (free upgrade to overnight!)

HANDIEST GPS HOLDER
I liked the simplicity of the unit no bungee cords etc in the way and allowed easy dismount so the unit could be carried in the belt holder

Used this on a PWC mount in an unconvential way. I drilled two extra holes in the back to tie the mount down. Plastic is nice and was strong. Grips the GPS nicely. I also have room to put the Etrex in a zip lock bag, and then mount in the cradle for a nice water tight seal.

SUPER PRODUCT
This is the third setup for my eTREX Legend I have multiple offroad motorcycles. These units have worked flawlessly for years rain, spills, and tree branches have not be a problem.

ETREX MOUNT IS GREAT!
Ram has produced a high quality product that works with it's universal attachment system. It is also possible for the user to create their own attachment to suit their specific needs.
In my case I created a custom clamp for my own purpose which was mounting on my bicycle. The mounting back on the Ram mount can use standard 1/4 X 20 screws to attach to anything you want it to without interfering with the eTrex.
My only concern with this particular Ram product is that the two tabs at the top must be bent out to allow the GPS to slide into the body of the mount. I see no evidence of fatigue at this time but over the long run if the GPS is repeatedly put in and taken out of the Ram mount the tabs could potentially break. If the tabs at top break the GPS should just slop around rather than fall out so the failure can be easily noticed without loosing your eTrex.
As a whole the product is very good. It holds the GPS securely while not making the overall size much larger. It is easy to mount and appears to be made from quality material.
