The RAM Marine Grade Aluminum Mount with Stainless Steel U-Bolt Rail Base consists of the 1 inch diameter ball and socket system with RAM Plastic Cradle for the Garmin StreetPilot i-series and the Garmin G-Socket Ball.
This mount is not available on our website due to the cradle not holding the GPS unit securely enough for motorcycle use.
Mount Cradle Design:
The RAM-HOL-GA22 RAM Mount high strength plastic cradle holder is designed to hold the Garmin StreetPilot i-series and Garmin Ball, including the following GPS units,
- Garmin StreetPilot i-Series GPS, including the Garmin StreetPilot i2, Garmin StreetPilot i3 and Garmin StreetPilot i5
- Garmin StreetPilot c5xx Series GPS, including the Garmin StreetPilot c530, Garmin StreetPilot c550, Garmin StreetPilot c580 and Garmin StreetPilot c510 (European Version)
- Garmin units with the small round socket on the Garmin cradle
All cables and the Garmin cradle can stay connected to the unit while in the RAM cradle.
Mount Arm Design:The Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Standard Length Double Socket Arm is 3.0 inch long when measured between socket centers.
Mount Base Design:
 The RAM-B-231 RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Base has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball designed to sit at right angles to the mounting rail. The Stainless Steel U-Bolt and nuts included are designed it fit on most motorcycle round handlebars, or any circular rail or pipe with diameter from 3/4 to 1.0 inch.
To mount the rail base, place the top of the base on the rail and then slide the u-bolt around the rail, into the holes in the base top. Now tighten the screws onto the u-bolt until the base is clamped firmly. If you desire, you can now slot the black rubber covers over the exposed ends of the u-bolt.
NOTE: This base is completely rust proof.
For Larger Rail Mounting:
For a larger rail, you can purchase the RAM Mount Stainless Steel Large Rail U-Bolt for circular rails with diameter up to 1.25 inches. |
