Mac Virginia Nov 14, 2011	RAM MOUNT GARMIN GPSMAP 600 SERIES GRIP-LOCK SUCTI Pros: easy to setup and use. Cons: should include the ss bolts and nuts for the ball The suction cup mount for the Garmin 640 works very well. I have it attached to the side window of my boat and it holds in place even in rough conditions. You do need to mound the ball to the back of the Garmin bracket but I did not receive the 4 bolts and nuts for this but luckly I had some on hand. This setup makes it easy to transfer the GPS from the boat to the car just my unpluging from the 12v outlet and releasing the suction cup. Recommend? YES 9 viewers found this helpful.

Tony CT Sep 16, 2010	EXCELLENT GPSMAP 640 MOUNT Pros: easy to use. locks solidly. easy removal. Cons: none so far. I bought this to hold my GPSMAP 640 on various boats. I was concerned that the suction cup would be too small to hold well but it has proved to be excellent. I have used the mount on the underside of a perspex companionway cover and have also attached it to smooth fibreglass in the cockpit. In both cases it has held well in smooth and rough water all day and night, even with crew occasionally knocking against it. It locks in place very easily by rotating the cup mount. No problems so far with the rubber 'glueing' to the surface on removal,although I have not tried it on the windshield of a car on a hot day. It was easy to mount onto the auto bracket that came from Garmin with the 640. Necessary nuts and bolts provided with the RAM mount. Very pleased with the purchase. Recommend? Anthony Bradenton, Fl. Apr 20, 2010	NOT AS DESRIBED! Pros: not as desribed! not specifically for any 1 gps Cons: quality of the actual item is good if you had a us Absolutely not as described! Pictures are very deceptive! Misleading description. You would have to dissasemble your gps and drill holes in it and bolt it to your gps if possible to actually use this mount. It should be described as an adapter or diy unversal mount with a great deal of modifications needed! [Ed. note: Please note that this mount does work as advertised, as you need the original Garmin cradle to attach the mount to. If you do not have the original Garmin cradle with the four holes, then this mount will not work and you will need to purchase a replacement.
