Manufacturer Description |
The RAM-B-149-G4 Garmin GPSMAP 620 and GPSMAP 640 Series Motorcycle RAM Mount is a Marine Grade Aluminum Mount with a Stainless Steel U-Bolt Rail Base and GPSMAP 600 Series Cradle Plate. The mount is designed with a RAM 1 inch diameter patented rubber ball and socket system that has adjustment point at the cradle and base. With a twist of the arm knob, you can move the Garmin GPSMAP 620 and 640 Series mount to your optimum viewing position.
Garmin GPS Mount Options:To help ensure you have the Garmin GPSMAP 620 and GPSMAP 640 Mount you require, take a look at the list of available RAM Garmin GPS mounts on the RAM-B-347-G4 Series of Garmin GPSMAP 620 and GPSMAP 640 Cradles and Mounts Page. Here you can select from suction cup GPS mounts, flat surface screw down GPS mounts, GPS car mounts, non skid weighted GPS mounts and more bundled with the RAM-B-347-G4 Garmin GPSMAP 620 and GPSMAP 640 Series Hardware and Plate.
Garmin GPS Mount Cradle Design: The RAM Aluminum Rectangular Plate has a four hole AMPS pattern which will connect to the back of the Garmin GPSMAP 620 and GPSMAP 640 series cradle. The Garmin GPSMAP 600 series cradle is included with the purchase of the GPS unit. The RAM Mount Plate and hardware connect to the following Garmin units:
- Garmin GPSMAP 620 GPS
- Garmin GPSMAP 640 GPS
All cables can stay connected to the unit while in the RAM cradle.
Connection Hardware Included: The plate includes four sets of nuts and bolts (RAM-S-G4) to connect the plate to your required cradle.
Garmin GPS Mount Arm Design:
 The RAM-B-201 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Dual Socket Arm is a 1 inch B size Ball Socket Arm with open socket ends. The arm is 3.0 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends. For a layout of the dimensions RAM-B-201 arm, take a closer look with the RAM-B-201 Design Drawings (pdf file).
Garmin GPS Mount Base Design:
 The RAM-B-231 RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Base has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball designed to sit at right angles to the mounting rail. The Stainless Steel U-Bolt and nuts included are designed it fit on most motorcycle round handlebars, or any circular rail or pipe with diameter from 3/4 to 1.0 inch.
To mount the rail base, place the top of the base on the rail and then slide the u-bolt around the rail, into the holes in the base top. Now tighten the screws onto the u-bolt until the base is clamped firmly. If you desire, you can now slot the black rubber covers over the exposed ends of the u-bolt.
NOTE: This base is completely rust proof.
For Larger Rail Mounting:
For a larger rail, you can purchase the RAM Mount Stainless Steel Large Rail U-Bolt for circular rails with diameter up to 1.25 inches.
