Manufacturer Description |
The RAM-B-174-MONT Garmin Montana 600 650 650t Motorcycle RAM Mount with Powered AMPS Rugged Mount is a Marine Grade Aluminum Mount with a Motorcycle Brake/Clutch Reservoir Base and Garmin AMPS Rugged Mount with Audio and Power Cable. The Garmin mount is designed to connect to a RAM 1 inch diameter patented rubber ball and socket system, that has adjustment points at the cradle and base. These Garmin and RAM parts, in conjunction, allow you to power your Garmin Montana 600 650 650t while enjoying the safety and sturdiness of a RAM Mount.
Garmin GPS Mount Options:To help ensure you have the AMPS plate mount you require, take a look at the list of available Universal AMPS plate mounts on the RAM AMPS Plates and Mounts Page. Here you can select from AMPS suction cup mounts, flat surface screw down AMPS plate mounts, AMPS car mounts, motorcycle AMPS plate mounts and more bundled with the RAM Rectangular Universal AMPS Plate (RAM-B-347 or RAP-B-347).
Garmin GPS Mount Arm Design:
 The RAM-B-201 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Dual Socket Arm is a 1 inch B size Ball Socket Arm with open socket ends. The arm is 3.0 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends. For a layout of the dimensions RAM-B-201 arm, take a closer look with the RAM-B-201 Design Drawings (pdf file).
Garmin GPS Mount Base Design:
 The RAM-B-309-7 RAM Mount Motorcycle Kit Base can mount to either the clutch/ brake reservoir or directly to a round handle bar rail. The base is constructed of marine grade aluminum with an integrated 1 inch diameter rubber ball, hardware for rail mounting and both standard and metric mounting bolts for motorcycle reservoir mounting. The zinc coated metal u-bolt and nuts included are designed it fit on most motorcycle round handlebars, or any circular rail or pipe with diameter from 1/2 to 1.25 inches.
The base connects to the left or right side of your handlebar clutch/brake reservoir on the Honda Goldwing and other select motorcycles or you can connect directly to your handlebars with the u-bolt hardware. To see if this base will work with your motorcycle, check the hole spacing of the base against your clutch/brake reservoir. The holes centers have a minimum width of 0.94 inches and a maximum of 1.58 inches.
