The RAM-B-149-MONT Garmin Montana 600 650 650t Motorcycle RAM Mount with Powered AMPS Rugged Mount is a Marine Grade Aluminum Mount with a Stainless Steel U-Bolt Rail Base and Garmin AMPS Rugged Mount with Audio and Power Cable. The Garmin mount is designed to connect to a RAM 1 inch diameter patented rubber ball and socket system, that has adjustment points at the cradle and base. These Garmin and RAM parts, in conjunction, allow you to power your Garmin Montana 600 650 650t while enjoying the safety and sturdiness of a RAM Mount.
Garmin GPS Mount Options:To help ensure you have the AMPS plate mount you require, take a look at the list of available Universal AMPS plate mounts on the RAM AMPS Plates and Mounts Page. Here you can select from AMPS suction cup mounts, flat surface screw down AMPS plate mounts, AMPS car mounts, motorcycle AMPS plate mounts and more bundled with the RAM Rectangular Universal AMPS Plate (RAM-B-347 or RAP-B-347).
Garmin GPS Mount Arm Design:
 The RAM-B-201 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Dual Socket Arm is a 1 inch B size Ball Socket Arm with open socket ends. The arm is 3.0 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends. For a layout of the dimensions RAM-B-201 arm, take a closer look with the RAM-B-201 Design Drawings (pdf file).
Garmin GPS Mount Base Design:
 The RAM-B-231 RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Base has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball designed to sit at right angles to the mounting rail. The Stainless Steel U-Bolt and nuts included are designed it fit on most motorcycle round handlebars, or any circular rail or pipe with diameter from 3/4 to 1.0 inch.
To mount the rail base, place the top of the base on the rail and then slide the u-bolt around the rail, into the holes in the base top. Now tighten the screws onto the u-bolt until the base is clamped firmly. If you desire, you can now slot the black rubber covers over the exposed ends of the u-bolt.
NOTE: This base is completely rust proof.
For Larger Rail Mounting:
For a larger rail, you can purchase the RAM Mount Stainless Steel Large Rail U-Bolt for circular rails with diameter up to 1.25 inches.
