GPS RAM MOUNT FOR 2009 V-STROM 650
Pros: easy installation quick delivery

This is my first RAM mount for a motorcycle. It fit perfect with installation taking just a few minutes. This RAM mount is easily adjustable with many positions to view the GPS. I may soon buy another base/cradle for a camera next. Ordering online was very easy with quick delivery. Very satisfied.

GREAT PRODUCT

Love the RAM Mount. This is my second one. Bought the first from you in Oct.09 for my 06 Nomad. In Mar.11 Traded for a Voyager (kept the mount) And in Dec.11 found a great deal on a 06 Vulcan 900 (I had already put 11,000 mi.on the Voyager) and I had to have another RAM Mount. A lot of friends love it.(me too). Got to have a GPS. The way roads are changing 58yrs.riding experience don't help much.

BEST MOTORCYCLE GPS MOUNT
Pros: heavy duty & easy to adjust to different positions
Cons: could use a shroud to block bright light.
So far I haven't found any better. I like the way I can adjust the mount in different positions to meet different light situations. It is mounted out of the way and hassle free. It was easy to install and heavy enough not to vibrate.
This is good heavy duty equipment. The mount that I bought could use a shroud to block bright light. This is the best mount I have found so far. I wanted to buy the rain proof model but the reviews said there was a problem with the plastic lens reflecting light and obscuring the screen from being seen. It looks like the only problem people are having with these mounts is being able to see the GPS screen because of bright light wash out. I like it, for now it is the best one on the market.

GREAT SYSTEM
Pros: fast, easy connect and disconnect.
Cons: could use a lock for motorcycle use.
I bought my RAM Mount because a couple of my friends have one each. I was very impressed with the stability and ease of use. I am very happy with the one on my motorcycle and intend to buy the adapter for my truck.

BEST GPS MOUNT
Pros: very flexible
Cons: rubber caps to cover the u bolt ends did not fit
I bought this mount last month just before we left on our bike trip.I had it clamped on the handle bar in about five minutes,adjusted and ready to go. It is simple to adjust. You will need to adjust as the sun moves behind you. It was so flexible that I had no trouble keeping the sun off the GPS screen.I should add that this is not a one handed operation and I was stopped when I made the adjustments to the mount. This mount is very good quality and and at a great price for the quality.

SOLID GPS MOUNT
I have had other mounts this one is by far the best, rock solid on the bike use to install and adjust. Just went on a 7,000Km trip, it did not move once you can really count on this item.

DOES WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO

This mount works very well.
The only complaint I have is that it is UGLY! The black U- bolt/ball assembly is permanently mounted on my 2007 Vulcan 900's chrome handle bars. When the mount assembly is not in use, this u-bolt thingy sticks out like a sore thumb. At least when the mount is in use, it "looks" like it has a purpose.
I would have used the handle bar clamp mounting ball (P/N: RAM-B-367U) but I had concerns about the quality of the aluminum bolt actually taking the torque when tightening.
I actually thought I was purshasing the stainlees steel u- bolt which might have looked a little better. After doing all my research on various products and options I guess I just lost track of what I was ordering and did not pay attention.
As other reviews noted, had to take a cutting tool to remove a piece of plastic on the cradle in order to plug into the GPS.
Also bought the bare wire power cable. There is an available accessory plug (one + & one -) in the headlight housing. Then tucked the transformer pack under the speedo housing then zip-tied the wires to the other wires that happen to be running to and fro. Not sure it will always give me trouble free service. I plugged my Garmin 265WT in recently and was told "assessory not supported". Not sure why but when I unpluged it and plugged back in, the GPS rebooted then worked fine. Only happened once since I got it about 4 weeks ago.
Regardless, the whole thing works well so far.

This mount hit very well on the handle bars of my HD Road King, the mount was very stable and solid, Took still photos while camera was mounted and also a video while riding, absolutely no vibration noted on viewing the video.

The mount went on easily and holds the Nuvi255W very securely. The mounting U-bolt and nuts are described as "stainless" but were painted black. In mounting the U-bolt and nuts to the bar, the paint gets scraped leaving a less than pleasing look to the fianl installation. I'd suggest wire brushing the paint off these parts before installing.

Pros: just plain works.
Cons: small amount of paint loss.
Over 3000 miles in 9 days without a single functional issue (and none since) in temps ranging from the high 30's to over 110 degrees. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because there has been some loss of black paint on the base where it contacts the arm. Not really noticeable, but still should not happen. I would happily purchase again.

VERY SECURE MOUNTING SYSTEM
Pros: stable, secure, easy to install, good value.
Cons: no way to lock the gps.
No complaints with this mounting system. It holds my GPS very secure. It can be easily adjusted to position the GPS for the best viewing angle. I’m glad I went with the stainless steel U-bolt option. I originally thought I would be taking the entire mount off when not in use, but it turns out that the mounting bracket that attaches to the handlebar is very small and can stay on the bike permanently. There’s no way to lock the GPS so it can’t be stolen, but more expense mounts probably can. Just remember to take it with you when you go to lunch. It can be taken off by unscrewing one bolt, so it’s very quick and easy to do.

Cons: brake mount base needed for my application.
This was one of the mounts recommended for my Yamaha FJR1300, but the U-bolt mount base was too wide to fit the handlebar properly. I ordered a RAM-B-309-7U as in the similar Brake Mount kit, which fits perfectly. I will keep the U-bolt mount base in case I want to mount the GPS on a bicycle. I also trimmed the cradle with a dremel-like tool to allow the power cable to plug into the GPS.

I was impressed by the simplicity of installation, security of the device, and the fact that it's easily adjustable. The only caveat is that it isn't all that pretty - could use a bit of chrome. It also requires modification if using the Garmin power cord with the 'L' shaped USB. All-in-all, it's an excellent product. It's the first thing people comment on when they see my bike.

Very secure, able to attach nearly everywhere. I mounted this on my motorcycle and the RAM cradle is very positive. It grips my Nuvi very tightly and I don't think it will come off accidently. Its a great alternative to a dedicated MC GPS at a paupers price

RAM 465T MOUNT FOR GARMIN GPS
Pros: a fantastic and an excellent product.
This is a fantastic product. It's very well built and engineered. It installs very well and it is very flexible in its design. I installed it the same day on my Goldwing and I could have installesd it anywhere on the handlebar. So far, it has not become loose and it's very easy to use. When I inadvertetely hit a big bump on a dirt road, the GPS unit remains in place. This a great product and it's worth the money.

GREAT RAM
Pros: cheap, does the job
This is very simple to install, very solid once install and versatile in terms of positioning the GPS. The only thing I would have liked in this item is some rubber covering the ''U'' that attach to my bike... this way it does not scratch if i need to remove it.

Pros: easy mounting options with good quality hardware
Cons: a little more range in the duel ball swivel stalk
After much searching through Garmin and other product lines this proved to be an excellant solution for a handle bar mount for my Garmin nuvi 265wt GPS on a HD Electra-glide. I have now logged about 10,000kms with my gps held safely in place.

WELL MADE MOUNT

EXCELLENT GPS MOUNT FOR MOTORCYCLES
Pros: light weight, easy insatllation, adjustable
Cons: none
I have search the web for GPS mounts and RAM's GPS mount was the best choice. It was easy to install, adjustable arms for best veiwing and very light weight. When you are traveling and stop for lunch or shopping, you can easily remove the whole unit with just the u-bolt still on the bike. I like the quick service delivery, next day.

This mount works very well. GPS is held securly with no worries about it falling out of the cradle. Allows access to all functions and is easily removed.

This mount works very well. It transmits very little vibration from my motorcycle to the GPS. I used a rubber strip between the handlebar and the clamp to avoid scratching my handlebar. The height places the GPS at a good viewing angle.

SMALL PROBLEM WITH MOUNT
Pros: easy to pop off garmin in case of rain

No problem with the installation. I got it with the power cable and hooked it direct to the battery on my 09 950 V- Star. Removing the 2 screws on the tank allowed it to be lifted up enough to tie-wrap the power cord in place without taking the tank right off. The problem was a small plastic bar below the hole where the plug goes. It does not allow the plug to fully seat into the socket on the Garmin. It is thin enough that its removal will not effect the strength of the unit so I snipped it off with side cutters.

GPS MOUNT FOR MOTORCYCLE
Pros: excellent service
Easy to install. Holds GPS securely even when the handlebars are vibrating at an idle.
The product does all it says, and the service from GPS City was exceptional.
I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them again.

BETTER THAN I EXPECTED GPS MOUNT
Pros: secure attachment. range of adjustment
Cons: caps to cover lock nuts do not have tight fit.
Easy to attach. Our GPS unit fit securely. Height of the mount places the GPS unit in a convenient viewing position and the design of the mount allows for fine tuning the positon. The GPS was easy to see even in bright sun light.

NUVI GPS MOUNT
Pros: strong,easy to use,works as advertised.
Cons: none
it was easy to mount on my motorcycle and worked great on a 487 mile weekend trip. It is solid and stays put once mounted. it is easy to adjust and looks ok too.

RAM MOUNT GARMIN NUVI 2XXW AND NUVI 465T STAINLESS
Pros: very well made
Cons: could possibly come with the optional visor
First of all the service from GPS City was excellent.The delivery time was as promised. Installation on my Goldwing was straight forward. The unit is very well made.
I read the reviews reagarding the problem with the "L" shaped charger connector and the minor modification that was required to make it fit. I solved that problem by using the 12 volt charger cable from my Etrex Legend CX. It is a straight plug in and has exactley same specs as the one that came with my Nuvi. I realize this may be added expense but if you happen to have the extra cable ...it works.

GPS MOUNT
Pros: appears sturdy and the gps seats snugly.
Cons: cradle needs piece cut out for cable to fit.
I was surprised that a modification was required since I selected this item for my specific GPS unit. The bcak of the cradle needed a piece cut out to allow the cable to be fully plugged into the unit. Otherwise appears compact and sturdy. Just installed yesterday so haven't ridden with it yet.

GARMIN MOUNT FOR SUZUKI V-STROM 650
This RAM mount package works exactly as you would expect. The nuvi demonstrates it'll never be a Zumo. Sun glare on sunny days. Audio can't be heard at speed. External power source needed in 30 minutes or so. The mount is still great.

AWESOME GPS MOTORCYCLE MOUNT!
First of all I was pleased with the prompt, efficient packaging and shipment of the mount from GPScity. The mount itself is awesome in that it is very easy to install and can be mounted in any location you choose on the handlebars to be out of the way. The holder clamps the GPS in securely and is easy to plug in thru the hole in the back. I just completed the Rolling Thunder ride to THE WALL in D.C. and the mount performed perfectly.

PROBLEM SOLVED!
Pros: easy installation, looks great
I was having a problem with the speedometer on my chopper. I realized that it was not my speedometer, but my speedometer cable. The RAM mount solved my problem. Use the mount, and let my Garmin Nuvi be my speedo. Works like a charm. And looks hot also. The satellite is a very accurate speedo. Again, problem solved.

Excellent product,well made and exactly what I was looking for it's allwed me to use my run of the mill GPS on my bike, My only complaint with the mount, if it could be called a complaint, is the design of the mounting base, it could have been designed differently and made a bit more visually appealing.

FITS TIGHT AND STEADY, BUT...
Pros: secure fit on the bike and the gps unit.
Cons: unable to plug in l-shaped charger plug.
The holder fits tight on the bikes handlebar and holds the GPS steady and securely. However, it is impossible to plug in the cigarette adaptor charger. The part that fits into the GPS is L- shaped, and there is a brace on the holder that will not allow it to plug in. It may be able to be carved a bit, but it should have been designed for the plug to fit work without having to do that.

GPS MOUNT FOR ATV
Exactly what I wanted in a mount, The mount can be adjusted to any angle for proper visual line of GPS when riding. The rectangular holder has a plastic rib (assuming for bracing purposes)below the port that makes it almost impossible to plug the device in without and extension device.

No problem at all to mount it to the Quad,it sit's pretty solid on the handlebar, now I will be able to use the GPS from my car on the Fourwheeler when we are up North around the Lake Area's

I wanted to mount a GPS on my Moto Guzzi but the cost of a new Garmin Zumo was hard to justify because I would would only use it occasionally. Since I already had a Garmin 205W in my car I only had to purchase this RAM mount and it works like a charm and saved me $700.

Cons: looks like universal fit not attractive
i would like to have had the clamp made out of chrome and made in a clamshell type this would look better than the way it is made with a u bolt.

RAM MAKES EXCELLENT PRODUCTS
RAM has a history of making solid, secure mounting solutions for all types of electronics. I use their products in my car, and use this mount on my Trek hybrid bicycle to hold my GPS securely. If you need a secure mount that is well-constructed - look for a RAM mount.
