A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN OTHERS, BUT WORKS WELL
Pros: holds tight, allows access to all gps power inputs Cons: a bit tricky to get the garmin mount installed
Unlike other RAM GPS cradles I own, this one actually combines with the stock Garmin cradle to provide power to the GPS. You don't have to use the stock cradle, but it if you want to use the "locate my car" feature of this GPS, you need to remove the GPS from the Garmin factory cradle -- which is why RAM allows you to seat it in the Garmin cradle to begin with. I find that removing the GPS from the RAM and Garmin cradles is more trouble than it's worth, so I just keep it in them and use a RAM Ezy-Mount (part #RAP-326) to take both cradles and the GPS off my windshield mount in one easy step. Snapping the Garmin mount into the RAM mount required a bit of force, so I wouldn't recommend removing it and inserting it often. It's best inserted once and left alone. You don't NEED to use the Garmin mount with the RAM mount, as the RAM allows you access to the GPS's bottom micro USB connector. (The Garmin mount uses a slightly larger rear-facing Mini USB connector for some odd reason) It's strange the way Garmin did the power on this GPS model, but that's not RAM's problem. RAM worked around the Garmin oddness as best they could, and they did a fine job.

EXCELLENT GPS MOUNT.
Pros: build quality Cons: too bad they're not adjustable. new gps, new mount
Mounted it on my motorcycle. Positioned perfectly to easily read. I have several of these RAM mounts and all have been top quality and rugged.

MISLEADING AD
Pros: fit is good. Cons: kind of hard to remove nuvi from cradle.
I needed this cradle for my new product Garmin just released, the 2300 nuvi. The release date was way past what was advertised & the cradle did not come as pictured in ad. You still have to buy the docking cradle from someone to fit into the cradle. The cradle pictured has one, but it does not come with it.
