Manufacturer Description |
The RAP-B-166-2-GA21 Garmin nuvi 300 Series Windshield Suction RAM Mount is a High Strength Plastic Composite Mount with a Locking Suction Cup Base and RAM Custom Plastic Cradle. The mount is designed with a RAM 1 inch diameter patented rubber ball and socket system, with Grip-Lock knob, that has adjustment point at the cradle and base. With a twist of the Grip-Lock arm knob, you can move the Garmin nuvi 300 Series mount to your optimum viewing position.
Note: This mount does not require any drilling for installation.
Garmin GPS Mount Options:
To help ensure you have the Garmin nuvi 300, nuvi 310, nuvi 350, nuvi 360 and nuvi 370 Mount you require, take a look at the list of available RAM Garmin GPS mounts on the RAM-HOL-GA21 Series of Garmin nuvi 3xx Cradles and Mounts Page. Here you can select from suction cup GPS mounts, flat surface screw down GPS mounts, GPS car mounts, non skid weighted GPS mounts and more bundled with the RAM-HOL-GA21 Garmin nuvi 3xx Series Cradle.
Garmin GPS Mount Cradle Design:
The RAM-HOL-GA21 Garmin nuvi 3xx RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Cradle is designed to hold the following Garmin nuvi 3xx Series GPS units,
- Garmin nuvi 350
- Garmin nuvi 360
- Garmin nuvi 370
- Garmin nuvi 300 (European Version)
- Garmin nuvi 310 (European Version)
The cradle will fit around the Garmin cradle that is included with the purchase of the Garmin nuvi 3xx series unit. This will allow you to connect a USB Cable to the Garmin cradle when required. The RAM Mount cradle also includes a cable hook, on the side of the cradle, to hold the Garmin USB 12V cigarette lighter cable (not included with RAM Mount cradle) firmly in your nuvi. You can alway snap this hook off of the cradle if required.
All cables can stay connected to the unit while in the RAM cradle.
The Garmin nuvi 6xx Series, including the nuvi 650, nuvi 660, nuvi 670, nuvi 680, nuvi 600 and nuvi 610, WILL NOT fit this cradle. These units require the RAM-HOL-GA23 RAM Mount Cradle for the Garmin nuvi 6xx Series.
Garmin GPS Mount Cradle Plate:The RAP-B-238 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Composite Diamond Plate is designed to connected to the back of the mount cradle. The diamond plate has a 1.0 inch diameter rubber ball connected at right angles to the plate, which connects directly to the 1 inch arm socket. The cradle includes the required hardware to connect the plate to the cradle. For a layout of the hole spacing and 1.0 inch rubber ball location, take a closer look with the RAM-B-238 Design Drawings (pdf file) (Note: the Plastic RAP-B-238 Plate is thicker than the RAM-B-238 Design Drawings shown).
Garmin GPS Mount Arm Design: The RAP-B-201-1 Twist Grip RAM Mount Dual Socket Arm is a 1 inch B size Ball Socket Arm made of High Strength Plastic. The arm is 2.0 inches long between socket centers. The side of the arm includes a round grooved tightening nut which allows you to open and close the socket ends.
Garmin GPS Mount Base Design: The RAP-B-224-2 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Twist Lock Suction Cup Base is designed to have an extra strong hold on any smooth non-porous surface. With a twist of the outside cone edge, the suction cup base adheres to any glass¹ or non-porous plastic surface, as found on our Plastic Non Skid Base, Cup Holder Plate and Plastic Adhesive Disk. Built into the top of the suction cup is a 1 inch diameter rubber ball. This ball allows the suction cup to join to an open socket found on any of the RAM 1 inch diameter socket arms.

Suction Cup Vehicle Mounting Alternatives:We currently offer three alternative solutions for mounting your suction cup mount in a location other than a windshield:
 The Super Grip Non Skid Base with round plastic plate, is a weighted base that can be placed on your dash without an adhesive or drilling. Simply place the base on your dash, or any flat surface and then attach the suction cup to the round plastic plate. This is perfect when you want a temporary mounting solution but the windshield mount just isn't the answer.
 The Suction Cup Adhesive Disk with round plastic plate, is a great mounting surface to attach the RAM Twist Lock Suction Cup. Simply stick the the plate to any flat surface and then attach the suction cup to the plate. This is perfect when you need to attach your suction cup mount to your car dash vertically or horizontally, rather than to your windshield.
 The Suction Cup Drink Cup Holder with round plastic plate, is a great mounting surface to attach the RAM Twist Lock Suction Cup. Simply place the base into any cup holder in your vehicle and then attach the suction cup to the plate found on top. This is perfect when you need to attach your suction cup mount away from the windshield or when you just want the mount off the dash.
