MOST SECURE GPS MOUNT
Pros: it has a much more secure grip on the gps.
I bought it with two mounts, the motorcycle handlebar clamp and the ball for my snowmobile. It holds the GPS much more securely than the factory one making me far less concerned it will allow the GPS to shake out when I am bouncing around on rough terrain.
I appreciate that it can easily move from one mount style to another without tools. All parts were there and the workmanship was good.

RAN MOUNT GARMIN NUVI 500

I am using the Ram Mount for the Nuvi 500 on my bicycle. While most information recommends it for use on a motorcycle, it works identically well for a bicycle. Mounting is very versatile and secure.

TERRIFIC GPS MOUNT FOR MOTORCYCLES
Cons: none come to mind
Great quality, easy to mount - but what I like the most is how easy it is to remove everything but the bar mount to take with you and then put back on the bike when you return - literally just seconds to remove and put back. Even with this quick connect/disconnect system, it holds the GPS very securily - I ride a naked bike and at triple diget speeds, there is no movement of the GPS.

THE STING OF POOR QUALITY
My purchase of a RAM motorcycle mount was extremely disappointing.The aluminum pieces were moulded very poorly, with lumps everywhere under the paint and the paint had peeled off areas. One of the holes where the u bolt goes through to fasten to the handlebars wasn't even drilled through. I had to drive to my cottage to get my electric drill to complete the hole so I could put the u bolt through it. All in all, a total quality embarrasment for RAM. I didn't return it because, quite frankly, it's a huge hassle, so I filed it, drilled it and repainted it myself.

RAM GIVES ME NEW WAY TO GET A RIDE!
Pros: very tough feeling and high quality.
Cons: none
I bought Ram mount for my garmin nuvi. Nowadays I have always Garmin on while I'm riding with my Suzuki DR-Z. It was very easy to install and it helps a lot when I'm travelling in great landscapes here in Finland. I can also check my speed and average speeds easily. I have also crashed once and Ram did hold my Garmin like nothing happened!

ROCK SOLID!
Pros: solid build, easy install, reliable
Cons: what's not to like?
I mounted my Garmin Nuvi 550 on my 08 DR-Z400S using this ram mount and I must say the installation was simple and fast. I adjusted it and forgot about it. No matter how rough the terrain it stays put and does not budge. Excellent product!!!

NUVI 550 MOUNT
Pros: see above.
Cons: you need a sun visor for the gps on a motorcycle.
I have this mounted on my V-Star 1300. It does a great job of securing the GPS, is infinitely adjustable, does not shake when the engine is running, and the handle bar mount allows me to put it where I want it.
Recommend? YES

EXCELLENT MOUNT
Pros: strong, well fitting
Cons: a bit on the pricey side.
I found the mount well suited for it's intended purpose. Easy to install and easily adjustable.
