PERFECT FIT
Got this for my Nuvi 885T to use on a motorcycle. Holds the GPS very securely. The little roller wheel under the top retainer is a nice feature.

VERY STRONG GPS MOUNT
Pros: very secure hold on the gps unit
Cons: be careful when removing the gps from the bracket
the mount cradle is very strong. the nuvi is held in place securely. removing the nuvi from the cradle seems to need two hands so as not to damage the pins on the power connection.

Great item with an excellant price, made purchase to hold gps on my motorcycle, holds unit securely with no vibration or movement. would recommend this item to everyone.

VERY SECURE GPS MOUNT
Pros: durable, excellent attachment to mount.
Cons: none thus far.
I am an avid motorcycle tourer and have had several GPS units over the last 10 years. The earlier units had mounts that did not fit as they should or could easily be taken by anyone walking by the bike. This unit really fits snuggly. So much in fact that it is difficult for me to take it out the mount. The mount is made out of heavy duty material that appears to be very durable for motorcycling.

Cons: utilizes garmin insert for power
I bought the Ram mount cradle to use my nuvi 855 on my motorcycle. As with other Ram products, the cradle is sturdy and designed to accomodate all the cables. With this mount you will need to use the insert that came with the factory mount to power the 855. It can be a bit tricky lining up the pins in the bottom of the nuvi with the pins in the insert as you try and get the nuvi into the mount. But that's a drawback of the nuvi and not necessarily with the cradle.

GOOD SOLID MOUNT
Pros: solid product and perfectly fits the garmin 855
Cons: if it were just waterproof it would be perfect.
This mount holds a Garmin 855 GPS which I use for it's MP3 capibilities. The GPS is nice to have when not knowing where I'm going but most of the time I don't care. Anyway what I'm trying to say is I use this everday. It is installed on a HD 2008 Ultra Classic and the instalation was really easy and it is strong and solid just like the rest of the bike. I don't worry at all about the device falling out and loosing it, not at all.

I'VE NEVER GONE WRONG WITH RAM
Pros: well made, reliable, secure, ram universal ball
Cons: hard to separate magellan power mount from ram.
This cradle is another quality product by RAM. It holds my Garmin GPS securely no matter how rough the ride or severe the vibration from my Harley. When moving the GPS from the motorcycle mount, you need to detach from the RAM mount from the vehicle mount for the unit. It's a little tough to get them apart (using a small screwdriver works best to pry them apart), but it's more Garmin's fault for requiring such a stupid mount for powering the 800-series unit. So be patient and pry away. It won't break. At least you never have to worry about your GPS getting loose while it's on your motorycle. By the way, the RAM mount doesn't get in the way of any connections you might want to make to your GPS while it is mounted (e.g., audio connector for MP3 play).

EXCELLENT MOTORCYCLE MOUNT FOR GARMIN NUVI
Pros: very solid mount, easy to install
I have used several of the RAM mounts. They have all been of highest quality. They are very solid mounts and easy to install. This one does not have a power cord like the mount that comes with the GPS. The power cord I used plugs into the USB port. The locking device does make the GPS difficult to remove but it won't fall out when my Harley Davidson vibrates at idle.

SOLID MOUNT, GREAT PRICE.
Pros: good holding power. light weight.
Cons: cradle removal a little tricky.
I like everything about this mount but you have to develop a technique to remove the Garmin cradle from the mount. It's a bit tricky.

WORKS BETTER A MODIFICATION
Pros: typical ram quality
Cons: difficult to install / remove gps
I love RAM products, but for a car or truck install, this mount is over kill. For a motorcycle, this would be great! I found the mount to be difficult to install and remove the GPS due to the top locking device. So after a simple mod with a coping saw and file the top lock was gone works much better now! I also experienced issues with the mounting pins not the gold connection pins but the 2 plastic guide pins, be careful installing the GPS. This got better after I removed the top locking device. Also note that you have to use a portion of the Garmin mount installed inside of this mount.

WORKS FLAWLESSLY
I purchased this unit for my Nuvi 880, the GPS fits in the mount perfectly, it is very secure and is easily removable. I never had a problem with this unit during a 4000 mile trip. I was able to use the built in MP3 player and navigation with out any problem. I saw other complaints about removing the gps from the mount and about pin alignment issues, I never had a problem with either, the gps snaped into place perfectly and flawlessly, and every time I stoped for the night or was going to be away from the bike for more than a fuel stop I would remove gps from the mount with out any difficulty or worries of anything breaking.

GARMIN NUVI 800 SERIES CRADLE RAM-HOL-GA
I bought this mount so I could use my 885T unit on my Harley. With the cradle mounted to my handlebars, I can easily use the GPS functions as well as play my MP3 music as I ride. I now keep my original mount in my truck and quickly move the GPS unit from one vehicle to the other.

POOR DESIGN--RETAINER FAILED AFTER 3 MONTHS
The top retainer clip must be bent up each time you want to release the Garmin. After 3 months of GENTLE use, the clip broke off in my hand. I just ordered a free replacement from RAM-Mount. I have to pay $3 for shipping. I don't really want another one, but what choice do I have?

MOUNTING THE MOUNT
Am going to hold off buying this unit because you cannot see how it would mount to the dash. Have a new auto and do not want to drill any holes and against the law in CA to mount on windshield.

NUVI CRADLE FOR 880
You can't beat the RAM system for mounts, but this cradle for the Garmin Nuvi 880 does not fit the GPS well at all. The first time I put it in, the guide pins (which are not that easy too see) did not align and it bent over 5 of the pins on the GPS. After I extricated the GPS and fixed the pins I took great pains not to ruin my new GPS and was able to get it in without damage, but with great effort. I would like to be able to take it out of the cradle when parked, but I'm pulling the entire RAM mount off of the windshield. Not ideal, but the only game in town if you want RAM. Let's face it, you would not be looking here if you thought the included "mount" was satisfactory. To the manufacturer: This needs work. I'll be glad to help you out so I can get a better fitting mount. Scott
