MOTORCYCLE MOUNTED
Pros: looks and works good Cons: harder to mount
I have mounted this in my fairing, which was for a HD, but is now on my Vulcan, and it works fine. There is some vibration but that is expected. I move the GPS from my wife's car to my truck and now to my bike, so it works great for me. I didn't like the u-bolt style as I don't like the look and this was much cleaner, but a bit mroe to figure out.

REALLY HOLDS ON
I installed the RAM Mount for my Garmin Streetpilot 2610 (Model: RAM-B-138-GA9U) on the instrument cowl of my '95 Kawasaki Concours before going on a recent trip. This model includes the RAM-B-202, 1" ball mount RAM-B-201, 3" dual socket arm and RAM-HOL-GA9, cradle for Garmin StreetPilot 26xx, 27xx, 28xx series units at a considerable saving over buying the items individually.
I attached the mount with #8, stainless steel, black head, sheet metal screws into the plastic cowling that I bought at Sears Hardware. This location proved to be perfect because it allowed me to easily consult the GPS without having to take my eyes far of the road and yet was not a distraction while riding.
The mount proved to be extremely sturdy when I gave it the ultimate test by hitting a deer at about 45 mph crashing my motor. You can see the mount still attached after the accident in this photo. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2698319670102652906iehrmy?vhost=rides My Streetpilot 2610 survived the accident unscathed and was still in the cradle until just before taking the photo.

MOUNT ROCKS
Pros: ram mount great as expected Cons: cradle better suited to on-road, but i knew that.
Used this with my 2610 this past snowmobile season. I used the RAM mount but opted to use the Gamin cradle as it seemed the cradle that came with this mount would be less suitable to an 'off-road' application. Can't say this for sure, just the feel I got from it.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE
I ordered #RAM-B-138-GA9 on Friday morning before leaving for work. At lunch, I checked my email and was notified that GPS City was shipping my GPS mount that day. After I got home, I checked again, and found that it was being delivered the next day. 30 hours after ordering it, it was on my front porch. I wish everyone that did business on the internet was as efficient as GPS City. The mount came exactly as described, and this was a "hassle-free" transaction. Thanks, GPS City!!
