The RAM-B-316-1-G2 RAM-POD-I Vehicle Floor Mount consists of a RAM 1 inch diameter RAM ball and socket system on a 18 inch long Aluminum Rigid Flexible Rod with a RAM Round 2.5 inch diameter Plate End and Garmin Marine Cradle Three Hole hardware.
This mount is designed to be connected to the three hole pattern on the bottom of the cradles included with the purchase of the Garmin Marine GPS units with a swivel mount.
Garmin GPS Mount Cradle Design:
The RAM Aluminum 2.5 inch diameter Round Plate has an three hole pattern which will connect to the base of the Garmin Marine GPS unit swivel mounts. In most cases the Garmin Marine Swivel Mount is included with the purhcase of the GPS unit. Some of the Garmin Marine GPS that will connect to this mounting plate include:

Connection Hardware Included: The plate includes a set of three sets of nuts and bolts (RAM-S-G1) to connect the plate to your required cradle.
Garmin GPS Mount Arm Design: The RAP-B-200-1 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Single Socket Short Arm has a B Size 1 inch Ball Socket at one end, and a Female Octagon button connection at the other. The Octagon Button end will mount on the end of the Aluminum Flex Rod, allowing the 1 inch socket to hold your device cradle or plate. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket end.
Garmin GPS Mount Base Design: The RAM-316-1A RAM Mount Rigid Arm Base consists of a RAM octagon at the end of a 18 inch rigid flex arm with seat rail base. The RAM-POD-I mounting foot plate base is designed to connect to a vehicle seat rail bolt in your Car, Truck, SUV, RV, Big Rig or bolted location. Connected at right angles to the mounting foot is an 18 inch long Aluminum Flexible Rod. This rod can hold light to medium weight items in your vehicle safely and securely. At the top of the rigid flex rod is a male RAM High Strength Plastic Octagon Button that will connect directly to a RAM Female Octagon Button Arm.
Movement of the Rigid 18 inch Flex Arm:It is important to note that the rigid 18 inch flex arm found on this mount is designed to hold an approximate weight of up to 4 lbs. With this in mind, the aluminum rod is more rigid than flexible. It is designed to be bent into position when being installed and then hold it's position. This means you cannot move the mount around once installed with just one hand.
