Manufacturer Description |
The RAM-B-177 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Glare Shield Clamp Mount consists of the 1 inch diameter ball and socket system with RAM Universal Diamond Plate. This mount is designed to be a universal mounting solution for the aviation mounting by connecting to the glare shield lip.
Mount End Plate Design:
 The RAM-B-238 Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Universal Plate has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball connected at right angles to a 1 1/4 x 2 1/2 inch Diamond Plate. The plate has two pre-drilled holes positioned at either tip of the diamond plate. The hole pattern found on the Diamond Plate will connect to a large variety of RAM Mount and third party cradles and mounts, including those with the industry standard AMPS hole pattern. For a layout of the hole spacing and 1.0 inch rubber ball location, take a closer look with the RAM-B-238 Design Drawings (pdf file).
Amount Arm Design:
 The RAM-B-201-A RAM Mount Dual Socket Short Arm is a 1 inch B size Ball Dual Socket Arm made of Marine Grade Aluminum. The arm is 1.75 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends. Mount Base Design:
The RAM-B-259U Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum U-Channel Clamp Base is designed to mount to the lip edge of a flat surface up to 1" thick. Popular mounting edges include a car side window edge lip, table edge or glare shield on an airplance.
The base has two plastic bolts that, when tightened, clamp the base to the lip surface. A RAM 1" diameter rubber ball is connected to the base allowing you to connect a RAM 1" diamter arm socket and connection plates to create the perfect mount for your application.
