Manufacturer Description |
The RAM Marine Grade Aluminum Mount with Stainless Steel U-Bolt Rail Base consists of the 1" dia. ball and socket system with RAM Plastic Cradle for the Garmin GPS 45, 45XL, 48, 89, 90 and 92.
BASE DESIGN:
 The RAM-B-231 RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Base has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball designed to sit at right angles to the mounting rail. The Stainless Steel U-Bolt and nuts included are designed it fit on most motorcycle round handlebars, or any circular rail or pipe with diameter from 3/4 to 1.0 inch.
To mount the rail base, place the top of the base on the rail and then slide the u-bolt around the rail, into the holes in the base top. Now tighten the screws onto the u-bolt until the base is clamped firmly. If you desire, you can now slot the black rubber covers over the exposed ends of the u-bolt.
NOTE: This base is completely rust proof.
For Larger Rail Mounting:
For a larger rail, you can purchase the RAM Mount Stainless Steel Large Rail U-Bolt for circular rails with diameter up to 1.25 inches.
ARM DESIGN:
The Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Standard Length Double Socket Arm is 3.0" long when measured between socket centers.
CRADLE DESIGN:
The RAM-HOL-GA3 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Cradle is designed to hold the Garmin GPS 45 and 48 Series, including the following GPS units,

- Garmin GPS 48
- Garmin GPS 89
- Garmin GPS 90
- Garmin GPS 92
All cables can stay connected to the unit while in the RAM cradle.
