The RAM Marine Grade Aluminum Mount with Stainless Steel U-Bolt Rail Base consists of the 1'' dia. ball and socket system with RAM Plastic Cradle for the Garmin GPS 72, GPS 76, GPSMAP 76 and GPSMAP 76S Series.
BASE DESIGN:
 The RAM-B-231 RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Base has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball designed to sit at right angles to the mounting rail. The Stainless Steel U-Bolt and nuts included are designed it fit on most motorcycle round handlebars, or any circular rail or pipe with diameter from 3/4 to 1.0 inch.
To mount the rail base, place the top of the base on the rail and then slide the u-bolt around the rail, into the holes in the base top. Now tighten the screws onto the u-bolt until the base is clamped firmly. If you desire, you can now slot the black rubber covers over the exposed ends of the u-bolt.
NOTE: This base is completely rust proof.
For Larger Rail Mounting:
For a larger rail, you can purchase the RAM Mount Stainless Steel Large Rail U-Bolt for circular rails with diameter up to 1.25 inches.
ARM DESIGN:
The Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Standard Length Double Socket Arm is 3.0'' long when measured between socket centers.
CRADLE DESIGN:
The RAM-HOL-GA6 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Cradle is designed to hold the following Garmin GPS units,
- Garmin GPS 72
- Garmin GPS 76
- Garmin GPSMAP 76
- Garmin GPSMAP 76S
All cables can stay connected to the unit while in the RAM cradle.
The Garmin GPSMAP 76C, GPSMAP 76CS, GPSMAP 76Cx and GPSMAP 76CSx WILL NOT fit this cradle. These units require the RAM-HOL-GA14 RAM Mount Cradle and Mounts for the Garmin GPSMAP 76C Series. |
