SUCTION MOUNT
Pros: good mount for the price/stick very well to window Cons: need to unscrew everytime need to switch gpsmount
I bought this mount for my truck. Works very well on the window, but tried to stick it to other materials like dashboard, beside the radio or even inside the cup holder, but did not stick in those places.
A few days after buying it, something unexpected happenned to me when trying to fix the position of the Gooseneck. The small plastic part fixed between the Gooseneck and screwed to the GPS mount detached from the Gooseneck. (The Goose metal rod pop out of the small plastic part.
I believe it's broken and should not have happened.
Nevertheless it works well for me, as I can now use the same GPS mount on an other mount fixed on my motorcycle without having to screw and unscrew the small plactic part everytimes, as there is room for two plastic parts behind the GPS mount. (My other Ram system is a ball attached to my handle bar so it's now very easy to fixe on my motorcycle whithout having the long Gooseneck hanging in the back of the mount.)
In conclusion, a ball socket at the end of the Gooseneck would probably be stronger and for sure much more usefull in order to interchanges the same GPS mount with other RAM (ball) systems.

PERFECT GPS MOUNT!
Pros: easy to use, great value. Cons: none
I bought this mount so I could use my Garmin in the glider. I have a yoke mount for the Cessna but it doesn't work for the stick control in the glider. The suction cup affixed easily to the inside of the canopy & I could position the arm to where I want it. The arm held the GPS securely in place & it did not move or bend when I scrolled through the pages. A great buy!

VERY PRACTICAL GPS MOUNT
First, GPS City's service was fast and efficient. The suction cup mount is very secure on clean jelcoat. The bracket fits the 76Cx perfectly. The flex arm absorbs the knocks it inevitably gets in the cockpit of a small boat whereas the rigid bracket would resist and the unit would detach.

CHOOSE FLEX ARM CAREFULLY!
RAM makes a great product. But, the flex arm option is not ideal for pilots who fly different types of airplanes. The aluminum arm is hard to bend and as a result is much better suited for using the GPS in the same plane (or type) mounted in the same general area. I intend to get the RAM unit that has the locking shaft with swivel capability.
