GOOD IPHONE BICYCLE MOUNT
Pros: ease of use, price Cons: must remove phone case to use
I've only had this mount a few weeks, but is works very well. The roads I ride are very bumpy, and the phone hasn't budged at all just make sure to fully clip the phone in place. At first glance, it seems as if the zip-ties wouldn't hold the mount securely, but I haven't seen any shifting at all. The only downside to this mount is you must remove any phone case you might have in order to use it.

Yes this will make it onto my recumbent bike later, but for now it holds my iphone for using my curling timer app. It fits the handle of a curling broom perfectly.

MANY ITEMS, BUT STURDY
A lot of pieces... it only holds the iphone bare without a case. Seems to hold it fairly sturdy though. Wish it came with rubber o rings instead of zipties so it could be transferred to other bikes.

Pros: reliable
they main thing i was worried about when researching mounts was obviously will it protect my phone. The first ride I had using the mount I had a pretty good crash bending my front rim. Mount stayed in tact and my phone was perfect.

GREAT IPHONE MOUNT
Pros: good price, good design. Cons: none so far (after about 500 miles of riding).
I bought this to mount my iPhone on my road bike. The installation was easy (similar to installing a bike computer). The mount is well made and holds the phone very securely. I mounted mine as close to the center of the handle bars as possible. I still have plenty of room to grab the top of the handlebars.

GREAT IPHONE MOUNT
Pros: easy to install, sturdy
Installed this on both of my bikes. At first I was a little weary of how sturdy it would feel being held on with a few zip ties, but this thing is solid. Very easy to install.
I've spent a good 4 or 5 hours on some hard trails with no problems whatsoever.

GREAT MOUNT
Pros: light, low profile, unobtrusive when removed. Cons: none.
I'm using one of these for my iPhone 3G and another of the same mount type for my Garmin Vista HCx. Holds them both very securely, though you do have to take the iPhone out of whatever case you normally keep it in. Mounted well to the handlebars of my Giant Sedona, is fairly low profile, and is quick to remove the devices when going into work or a store, etc. It's never made me nervous jumping curbs and such. Haven't done a lot of hard trail riding with them, but I suspect it'd hold up okay for that too. Just make sure you actually get the phone fully clipped into the holder with the top notch on the face of the phone. I'm guessing the reviewers that 'lost' their phone only had the top clip to the chrome bezel, as that's the first "snap."

GOOD IDEA WELL EXECUTED BUT...
Pros: well made Cons: iphone may not be robust enough for the vibration
The product is well built and holds the unit well. You have to take your iPhone out of it's case to use the handlebar holder. I have had the iPod portion of the phone skip because there is a lot of vibration a bike handlebar.

REQUIRES CAREFUL MOUNTING/MONITORING
Pros: nice job with simple mounting hardware/instruction Cons: the idea is probably not feasible in general.
Mounted this on my road bike on the stem behind the handle bars (no room on the bars). It feels very secure, but because of its extended center of gravity away from the mount and the weight of the iPhone, it bounces quite a bit. I decided that even riding on normal roads around here (Boston suburbs) I cannot leave it mounted for an entire ride. It shakes so much on small bumps that it rings the little bell on the handle bar that I have (for bicycle path riding), which is 1/2" away from the top of the phone. Plus, you have to remove any protective case you might be using, which makes it more dangerous. It might survive the bouncing for some time, but at some point the plastic will weaken or loosen, and the phone could go flying. I thought of replacing the thin rubber handlebar wrapper with some thicker foam rubber (sticky on one side), but that will not alleviate the design problem of mounting the phone away from the point of attachment.
Even if they could fix that (imagine welding your phone to the frame) - do you really think that all that shaking and pounding your bike frame takes would be good for the iPhone? That's what made me decide to keep it in my jersey back pocket most of the time. RunKeeper (& other GPS software) still works great there, and I can stop and check the map whenever I need to.
And *forget* offroad riding with this - you'd be nuts to try that with an expensive phone like this!

RAM MOUNT FOR IPHONE
Easy to instal. Versatile mount options including portrait and landscape. Priced very fairly.
What more could one ask for. I looked carefully for just this type of device and there is nothing out there that has all these attributes. Just buy it and don't waster your time looking around anymore like I did.
My only regret: I did not buy a second mount for my other bike at the time.

RAM 3GS IPHONE BIKE MOUNT
This is a great bike mount for my iPhone. I use the iPhone as both a iPod and Motion X GPS bike computer app. I was able to put the mount on the gooseneck of my road bike, which is 90 degrees different than the handle bars. It's out of the way and it looks better. I'm new to bicycling and had a slow motion fall because I couldn't unclip. The phone stayed put.

VERY HAPPY WITH IPHONE MOUNT
Pros: stable, secure, great price Cons: minimal installation instructions
I am very pleased with this mount. Straightforward installation with two inserts to handle both straight and tapered handlebars, extra screws, and a neoprene strip to hold everything in place. The clip itself feels exceptionally secure, and I have never had any concern about the iPhone coming out, nor have I had any problems with the mount shifting or keeping me from using the controls on the iPhone while mounted. Great cost point, and in fact I already HAVE recommended this to a friend!

BEST I'VE SEEN YET, BUT...
Pros: solid feeling, good overall product concept, price Cons: use of cable ties not screws, weight and height
... I'd like to see a lower-profile integrated one-piece mount, with better hold (i.e. 4 screws instead of 2 cable ties) and easier rotation. There's no real point in having a removable cradle, which adds height and weight, and it makes me nervous using the same action that releases the phone to rotate it. That said, the unit is quite solid - important with a $400 phone. It'd be nice to see a few extra ties and extra rubber provided - you'll probably want to move it a few times as you get used to it, and certaintly change the ties now and then to keep it snug and safe. Excellent for road use, but I'd hesitate before a mountain bombing run )

VERY WELL MADE
I purchased for my iphone on my roadbike as I wanted to see if I can replace my currnt bike computer. I use the MOtion GPS app (as well as ipod use) - The RAM was easy to assemble and holds the iphone extremely secure. THere is a flex and cushioning built in as well. Looking through their other products, it is clear that RAM is the leader in this type of mount hardware.
I would absolutely recommend.

SECURE IPHONE MOUNT
Pros: securely holds iphone in place easily adjustable
This mount has worked out extremely well for me. I mounted it onto my road bicycle and have had no problems with the mount. It adjusts either vertically or horizontally, and detaches quite easily from the base. I ride an average of 200- miles a week, and for the past month this product has afforded me the use of my iPhone while cycling using a bicycle computer application that I've been very happy with.

GOOD BIKE MOUNT
This mount has worked well so far. I wish it was adjustable after attaching, but for the price it's good. It would also be nice to have some cushioning. The mount did not come with any assembly instructions so had to go the manufactures site to locate them. Even then they still left some assembly up to my intuition to complete.

I HAVE TO AGREE WITH OTHER 5 STAR REVIEWS
Pros: not too expensive, adapible, solid Cons: snap in fitting takes a little getting use to
I found this to be an excellent mounting system. It's very solid once mounted. I used it on a ~30 mile road ride today, parts were very bumpy. I started out being a little more careful than I usually am, but quickly grew to trust the mount to hold up through anything I'd put the bike through. I'm not sure I'd use it on a mountain bike (I live on the front range in Colorado, so the downhills are pretty rough, and long). I think it would probably hold up, but I'm not sure I'd trust my iPhone to "I think it probably..."
I have a SHIELD slim fit case on my iPhone and it fits in the cradle just fine with the case on.
It's nice that the cradle can be used with other RAM mounts. I got a RAM-A-CAN for my car too that this will just snap into (up-coming road trip). The RAM-A-Can feels really solid too, by the way.
