The RAM-B-174-AP6 Apple iPhone 3G Series Motorcycle RAM Mount is a Marine Grade Aluminum Mount with a Motorcycle Brake/Clutch Reservoir Base and RAM Custom Plastic Cradle. The mount is designed with a RAM 1 inch diameter patented rubber ball and socket system that has adjustment point at the cradle and base. With a twist of the arm knob, you can move the Apple iPhone 3G Series mount to your optimum viewing position.
Apple iPhone Mount Options:
To help ensure you have the Apple iPhone 3G or 3GS Mount you require, take a look at the list of available RAM Apple iPhone 3G / 3GS mounts on the Apple iPhone 3G Mount Page or the Apple iPhone 3GS Mount Page. Here you can select from iPhone suction cup mounts, flat surface screw down iPhone mounts, iPhone car mounts, non skid weighted iPhone mounts and more bundled with the RAM-HOL-AP6 Apple iPhone 3G and 3GS Cradle.
Apple iPhone Mount Cradle Design:
The RAM-HOL-AP6 Apple iPhone 3G and 3GS RAM Mount Cradle is a High Strength Plastic Composite Cradle designed specifically to hold all of the Apple iPhone 3G (2nd Generation) and Apple iPhone 3GS devices including:
- Apple iPhone 3G,
- Apple iPhone 3GS
The cradle is open at the top and bottom to allow you to connect head phones and required cables plus use all of the required buttons. When mounting the iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS cradle to a RAM Mount with their patented ball and socket system, you can easily display your iPhone 3G / 3GS in landscape or portrait view. Now you can enjoy your Apple iPhone the way it was designed - very easily.

Apple iPhone Mount Cradle Plate:
 The RAM-B-238 Marine Grade Aluminum Diamond Plate is designed to connected to the back of the mount cradle. The diamond plate has a 1.0 inch diameter rubber ball connected at right angles to the plate, which connects directly to the 1 inch arm socket. The cradle includes the required hardware to connect the plate to the cradle. For a layout of the hole spacing and 1.0 inch rubber ball location, take a closer look with the RAM-B-238 Design Drawings (pdf file).
Apple iPhone Mount Arm Design:
 The RAM-B-201 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Dual Socket Arm is a 1 inch B size Ball Socket Arm with open socket ends. The arm is 3.0 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends. For a layout of the dimensions RAM-B-201 arm, take a closer look with the RAM-B-201 Design Drawings (pdf file).
Apple iPhone Mount Base Design:
 The RAM-B-309-7 RAM Mount Motorcycle Kit Base can mount to either the clutch/ brake reservoir or directly to a round handle bar rail. The base is constructed of marine grade aluminum with an integrated 1 inch diameter rubber ball, hardware for rail mounting and both standard and metric mounting bolts for motorcycle reservoir mounting. The zinc coated metal u-bolt and nuts included are designed it fit on most motorcycle round handlebars, or any circular rail or pipe with diameter from 1/2 to 1.25 inches.
The base connects to the left or right side of your handlebar clutch/brake reservoir on the Honda Goldwing and other select motorcycles or you can connect directly to your handlebars with the u-bolt hardware. To see if this base will work with your motorcycle, check the hole spacing of the base against your clutch/brake reservoir. The holes centers have a minimum width of 0.94 inches and a maximum of 1.58 inches.
