GREAT MOUNT FOR IPHONE GPS
Pros: customizable base fins, sturdy, lifetime warranty
Cons: a bit hard to swivel from portrait to landscape
With the recent iPhone firmware upgrade, many GPS companies (Navigon in my case, great software) have released GPS routing for the iPhone. In order to be able to use the GPS while driving, I needed a mount I could easily remove, that was sturdy and that could swivel from landscape to portrait. Well, I was very impressed by this mount as it does all this. It is quite heavy so it stays in place and you can cut or remove some of the fins around the mount so that it fits perfectly in your cup holder. I was afraid that the flexible arm would be too soft and move during travel but this is not the case. It is actually very strong and holds its position.
As you can imagine, it is visually quite invasive but this is what is great about this mount. You can remove it and hide it somewhere if you don't want it in your view when you don't need it. Being non permanent, you don't need to stick anything anywhere , drill holes, etc.
You can plugin you charger and it does not block the small iPhone speakers while in the mount.
Great purchase, would absolutely recommend.
