RAM Mount Large Stainless Steel Rail U-Bolt Base with 1 inch Ball Description The Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Base has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball designed to sit at right angles to the motorcycle handle bar or the mounting pole. The base includes two stainless steel u-bolts and two nuts. One u-bolt will fit a circular post or handlebar with diameter from 3/4 to 7/8 inches and the other will fit 1 to 1 1/8 inches.
To mount the u-bolt base, place the top of the base on the handlebar or pole and then slide the u-bolt around the underside of the pole, threading the ends into the holes in the base top. Now tighten the screws onto the u-bolt until the base is clamped firmly. If you desire, you can now slot the included black plastic covers over the exposed ends of the u-bolt.
