Manufacturer Description |
The RAM-B-166-2-A Universal SHORT Windshield Suction Cup RAM Mount is a Marine Grade Aluminum Mount with a Plastic 3.25 inch Locking Suction Base and Diamond Plate End. The mount is designed with a RAM 1 inch diameter patented rubber ball and socket system that has adjustment point at the cradle plate and base. With a twist of the arm knob, you can move the universal locking suction base mount to your optimum viewing position. This system is a universal mounting solution for both RAM and non-RAM designed products. The hole pattern found on the diamond plate will connect to a large variety of third party cradles and mounts.
Note: This mount does not require any drilling for installation.
Universal Mount End Plate Design:
 The RAM-B-238 Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Universal Plate has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball connected at right angles to a 1 1/4 x 2 1/2 inch Diamond Plate. The plate has two pre-drilled holes positioned at either tip of the diamond plate. The hole pattern found on the Diamond Plate will connect to a large variety of RAM Mount and third party cradles and mounts, including those with the industry standard AMPS hole pattern. Universal Mount Arm Design:
 The RAM-B-201-A RAM Mount Dual Socket Short Arm is a 1 inch B size Ball Dual Socket Arm made of Marine Grade Aluminum. The arm is 1.75 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends. Universal Mount Base Design: The RAP-B-224-2 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Twist Lock Suction Cup Base is designed to have an extra strong hold on any smooth non-porous surface. With a twist of the outside cone edge, the suction cup base adheres to any glass¹ or non-porous plastic surface, as found on our Plastic Non Skid Base, Cup Holder Plate and Plastic Adhesive Disk. Built into the top of the suction cup is a 1 inch diameter rubber ball. This ball allows the suction cup to join to an open socket found on any of the RAM 1 inch diameter socket arms.
