The RAM-B-149-CO5P RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Motorcycle Handlebar Mount with Stainless Steel U-Bolt Base consists of the 1 inch diameter RAM ball and socket system with RAM Plastic POWERED Cradle for the Compaq iPaq Series.
Mount Base Design:
 The RAM-B-231 RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Base has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball designed to sit at right angles to the mounting rail. The Stainless Steel U-Bolt and nuts included are designed it fit on most motorcycle round handlebars, or any circular rail or pipe with diameter from 3/4 to 1.0 inch.
To mount the rail base, place the top of the base on the rail and then slide the u-bolt around the rail, into the holes in the base top. Now tighten the screws onto the u-bolt until the base is clamped firmly. If you desire, you can now slot the black rubber covers over the exposed ends of the u-bolt.
NOTE: This base is completely rust proof.
For Larger Rail Mounting:
For a larger rail, you can purchase the RAM Mount Stainless Steel Large Rail U-Bolt for circular rails with diameter up to 1.25 inches.
Mount Arm Design:
 The RAM Mount Dual Socket Arm (RAM-B-201) is a B Size 1 inch Ball Dual Socket Arm, made of Marine Grade Aluminum. The arm is 3 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends.
Mount Cradle Design:
 The RAM-HOL-CO5P RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Powered Cradle is designed to hold the Compaq iPaq PDA Series.
PDA Cradle Assembly Required:
The RAM-HOL-CO5P Powered Cradle requires some assembly. The cradle ships with Null Modem Wires and circuit boards that required assembly prior to using the powered cradle. For more information, take a look at the Owners Manual for the RAM-HOL-CO5P Cradle page (pdf file).
