Pros: it does the job
Cons: too heavy..
This this is great...except it is too damn heavy for a suction cup to hold it in place.. it is just an ABS pipe...a VERY EXPENSIVE PIECE OF PIPE..
Recommend? NO OPINION

RAM MOUNT PLASTIC 12 INCH EXTENDED ARM WITH DOUBLE
Pros: able to modify length if full 12" isn't needed.
Cons: need your own pvc cleaner and glue to assemble
Was suprised unit didn't come completely assembled. Other than that, unit has nice adjustability features. PVC is heavy gauge, so unit is really rigid after assembly.
Recommend? YES

EXTENSION MOUNT
Pros: easy modification if needed.
Cons: may not stand up to sever off road use.
As an avid motorcycle rider, I film a lot of my rides and having made a recent addition to my Harley I was looking for a longer mounting unit to hold my camera which is a Sony Handi-Cam.
After locating the extension rod on GPSCITY.COM I ordered it for requested overnight delivery.
I made a modification to the unit, actually shortening the rod by 4 inches to conform to my mounting requirment. I was able to utilize a jigsaw cutter to do so.
After mounting it, I did a lengthy ride test.
The arm actually helps keep the camera stable over a varity of surfaces though, I would likely recommend replacing the stock PVC tubing with a metal rod of Aluminum or other light weight but strong material if it is to be used for off-road applications where there would be more exposure to shock.
Overall an excellent product at an affordable price.

HD 2009 ULTRA CLASSIC VIDEO MOUNT
Cons: does not come with glue to keep the pipes together
I have great idea for KISS 'Keep it simple' Got the items before est arrival time. Easy to set up. Should have bought the shorter arm. If you really need the longer arm just go to a hardware store to pick up one (PVC Pipe). Works OK for video shots of the ride...not to bad on the stabilization of the image. Drawback the M/C Handle mount broke off....does support the weight????? of a 10 oz camera????
