Manufacturer Description |
The RAP-B-121-238 Universal Clamp Base RAM Mount is a High Strength Composite Plastic Mount with a Universal Mini Diamond Plate End. The mount is designed with a RAM 1 inch diameter patented rubber ball and socket system that has adjustment point at the cradle plate and base. With a twist of the arm knob, you can move the universal clamp base mount to your optimum viewing position. This system is a universal mounting solution for both RAM and non-RAM designed products. The hole pattern found on the diamond plate will connect to a large variety of third party cradles and mounts.
Note: This mount does not require any drilling for installation.
Universal Mount End Plate Design:The RAP-B-238 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Composite Universal Plate has a 1.0 inch diameter rubber ball connected at right angles to a 1 1/4 x 2 1/2 inch Diamond Plate. The plate has two holes positioned at either tip of the diamond plate. For a layout of the hole spacing and 1.0 inch rubber ball location, take a closer look with the RAM-B-238 Design Drawings (pdf file) (Note: the Plastic RAP-B-238 Plate is thicker than the RAM-B-238 Design Drawings shown).
Universal Mount Arm Design: The RAP-B-201 RAM Mount Dual Socket Arm is a 1 inch B size Ball Dual Socket Arm made of High Strength Plastic. The arm is 3.0 inches long between socket centers. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends. For a layout of the dimensions RAP-B-201 arm, take a closer look with the RAM-B-201 Aluminum Arm Design Drawings (pdf file).
Universal Mount Base Design:
 The RAP-B-121B RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Universal Clamp Mount Base fits a rail or edge lip from 5/8" to a maximum of 1 1/4". The mounting base can also accept a second ball giving you the ultimate double ball base.
To mount the base, simply place the clamp ends around the rail and then screw the large knob at the end of the threaded rod. The hand tightened clamp makes this the perfect mounting system for rental planes, golf buggies or unusual shaped motorbike rails.
Note: The rail does not need to be perfectly round to mount this base.
