THE PLASTIC MOUNT BROKE
I have this mount installed side way (screw pointing to the sky)on the stem of my bicycle with front suspension. The plastic mount near the neck of the ball broke on a big bump while it was holding my 1.2lbs Garmin GPS.
I am going to buy this item again because it is very handy on the bike with other RAM mount add-on. Just be careful to not stretch the plastic too much. It is only plastic!
Pros: very handy and light weight
Cons: it is solid on its own but vibrates with add-ons.
Recommend: NO OPINION

BICYCLE HANDLEBAR MOUNT
This worked well for a while but eventually broke. There is a lot of vibration on a bicycle handlebar so I'm going to try RAM-B-231U next which looks a lot stronger.
Pros: light
Cons: not extremely strong
Recommend: NO

BULLET CAMERA MOUNT
I used this item to hold a Bullet (Lipstick) Camera. It works great for that! It really keeps the vibration down to a minimum as it hugs the middle of the camera instead of attaching to the back end.
Pros: lite and effective.
Cons: may need rubber spacer material for smaller dia.
Recommend: YES

CHEAP BALL MOUNT
Garmin's stated range of bar sizes this unit will fit is way off. I'll need a lot of rubber padding to put this on a 7/8" handlebar. Garmin admits I'll need to add the padding so why don't they include it with the mount?
Pros: none
Cons: too large for small bars without padding (extra)
Recommend: NO

TIME TO MAKE A LARGER U CLAMP SYSTEM
I've been looking for a larger clamp system for boat rails up to 2"
