RAM GOOD!!!
Pros: everything Cons: nothing
Fits like it was made for it! RAM makes great products and includes at least enough connecting fasteners. Was impressed there was a fastener for a teather.

SPOT MOUNT
Pros: stable, secure Cons: not lockable
Great item, I bought it as an addition for a second bike. Only thing I wish was that it had a way to secure from theft. Recommend

SPOT CRADLE
Pros: snaps in very easily and keeps spot secure.
It seems that ALL Ram products are superior in quality and fit and this is no exception. Although this review is for the cradle, it is the exceptional service of GPS City that is the real story. This is the most service oriented company I think I have dealt with in the last 20 years. For sure you can order with confidence knowing that your order will be filled and shipped very quickly. It is a pleasure doing business with such a company. Back to the review, if you order the cradle and are using it in the car, be sure to order the short "plastic" ram arm as it is lighter in weight and the metal strength is not needed unless you are mounting it on a bike. So, order and know your SPOT will be safe whether on a bike or in the car.

SPOT SATELLITE
This thing is rock solid, use it on my dirt/trail bike. It has taken a lot of abuse and kept the Spot in its clutches. So good that I just bought one for my son-in-law.

SPOT MOUNT
Just make sure you have the part with the Ram ball on it to attach to the mount. It works great and fits well.

SPOT CRADLE
Had the spot mounted on a Ram mount via 3M dual-lock but it came off while going over some RR tracks so purchased this and haven't had a problem since. Nice product at a very reasonable price.

BEST GPS MOUNT
Pros: it holds the unit securely. Cons: you need some other more expensive hardware.
Because the unit needs to be mounted with a full view of the sky this clip is only the first step in mounting the unit in the plane. You need some other expensive hardware from RAM to hold this clip in the right place on the glare shield.

MUST-HAVE!
Pros: plenty strong, very secure Cons: none so far
If you use the SPOT Messenger you must have this cradle. Instead of just throwing SPOT on the dash or forgetting it in the trunk or backpack, now it can be mounted where it has a clear view of the sky for tracking. Strong enough for a motorcycle.

GREAT MOUNT FOR THE SPOT
Pros: inexpensive, robust Cons: none
I attached this RAM mount to my rollcage with zip ties to hold the SPOT and it worked great. We run over very rough terrain at high speeds in our trucks, and the mount help the SPOT very well. It's also very easy to remove the SPOT from the mount, and snap it back in. Very happy with this purchase.

GOOD BUT WITH ONE CAVEAT
Pros: light, cheap, adaptible Cons: spot can fly out in case of accident
I was looking for a way to mount the SPoT unit on my motorcycle and this seems to fit the bill. The mount is light and easy to use, but if you do mount it on a motorcycle, quad or snowmobile, you should make sure you use a tether so you don't lose the unit when you need it the most. I had heard a report of the SPoT unit coming out of the mount when a crash happened, and the SPoT ended up 50 feet farther down the road.
It is possible to wrap a nylon tie around the RAM cradle and SPoT unit in such a way that the unit is held in securely. Good idea!
I have used many other RAM mounts and they always were good value for the money so there's no reason to think this would be any different.
