The Small RAM-HOL-UN1U Plastic Side Clamping Cradle is designed to hold a large amount of different kinds of cell phones and electronic devices.
Using the Cradle:This cradle has padded locking side clamps that close tightly on the item you want to hold. To release the clamp hold, simply press the button found at the bottom left side of the cradle which will spring the clamps open. At the base of the cradle are two small supports to hold the bottom of the item securely in the cradle.
Important Cradle Use:The RAM side clamping cradle is designed to be used in a closed cabin environment. The side clamping cradle is only a light weight cradle and may not hold your device in a high vibration situations as found on a motorcycle. If you intend on using the mount on a motorcycle, it is recommended that you secure the mounted device with a lanyard.

- Minimum Grip Width: 1.63'' (41.4 mm)
- Maximum Grip Width: 2.35'' (59.7 mm)
- Side Clamp Height: 1.88'' (47.8 mm)
- Side Clamp Depth: 1.13'' (28.7 mm)
- Cradle Spine Height: 4.0'' (101.6 mm)
- Cradle Spine Width: 1.94'' (49.3 mm)
NOTE: The top of the cradle is open, so the items in the cradle can be larger than the height of the cradle.
If you require a different sized side clamping cradle there are two other options available.
Included with the Cradle:The cradle includes a set of two nuts and bolts to connect the cradle to any of the RAM compatible mounts.
Important Mounting Information:If you already own the cradle shown above, or any other cradle with a hole pattern that will match the RAM Diamond Plate hole spacing, then you require one of the RAM Assemblies listed below. If you are looking to purchase a complete mount for the above cradle, take a look at the Complete Mount list below.
The cradle does not ship with a RAM ball. To add a 1'' ball to this cradle you need to purchase either the Aluminum Diamond Plate with 1'' ball (RAM-B-238) or Plastic Diamond Plate with 1'' ball (RAP-B-238). If you need to mount this cradle on a 1.5'' ball system, you will require the Aluminum 2.5'' diameter Round Plate (RAM-202) as RAM does not make a Diamond plate in the 1.5'' ball size. |
