PERFECT FIT!
I was a little worried because the price WITH shipping was so low. Thought I might be getting Chinese junk. But not only did it come out a a RAM package, it fit just like it should. I am not one for drilling holes in a $2000.00 kayak and this is the perfect solution. Plus it shipped regular and I had it in two days. Great find and worth every penny!

DIDN'T WORK IN MY APPLICATION
Pros: nicely made
Cons: didn't meet my needs
Bought this to mount into the Plastic ROD 2000 Post Thread Flush Base but they don't fit together. I'll end up throwing away the base part and mounting the ball with a bolt. From the catalog it looked like they should fit.
Recommend? NO

PERFECT MOUNT FOR A HOBIE KAYAK!
Takes one minute to install and does not require any modification to the kayak. I used this mount for my fish finder along with a RAM 5.25 inch Aluminum Dual Socket Arm and a RAM Aluminum Humminbird Plate (all from this site) and it's a perfect setup. It would also make a good fishing rod holder mount on a Hobie kayak.
Recommend? YES
