Manufacturer Description |
This RAM Mounting System is a Marine Grade Aluminum ball and socket mount that will attach to any flat surface while only taking up a tiny footprint. The mount allows you to swivel and tilt your Garmin FishFinder or Garmin GPSMAP unit to get the best viewing angle.
The mounting plate attaches directly to the back of the unit after the Plastic Cradle Frame, included with the purchase of the GPS unit, has been detached.
The mount is compatible with the following Garmin Marine units:
- Garmin GPSMAP 162*
- Garmin GPSMAP 168*
- Garmin GPSMAP 180*
- Garmin GPSMAP 182*
- Garmin GPSMAP 185*
- Garmin GPSMAP 188* (not 188C)
- Garmin GPSMAP 192C*
- Garmin GPSMAP 188* (not 188C)
- FishFinder 160 Series
- FishFinder 240 Series
* This mount only connects to the units with an external antenna.
IMPORTANT MOUNTING NOTE:
This mount will work with the Garmin Marine units listed above ONLY when using an external antenna. If you have an Garmin GPS unit with internal antenna, you can remove the internal antenna from the back of the unit and then attach an external antenna to the male BNC connector.
