Doctor D Phoenix Arizona Dec 15, 2009	SOME EXTRA WORK NEEDED! Pros: very solid construction, great size/ most mounts. Cons: bottom finish needs to be smoother. I used this rectanglular 2 inch by 2.5 inch plate as a base plate on the bottom of a clear waterproof box to enclose my radar detector for my motorcycle. The bottom of this plate was not smooth or flat, but had casting ripples across and a large lip at one of the edges of it. Being its made of Aluminium it would have taken a large file or grinder and some work to make it smooth. I was able to get a close fit and just sealed it with silicone caulk instead. This device adds a bit of weight but won't break away anytime soon. Recommend? YES 44 viewers found this helpful.

Mark Bailey Dec 2, 2008	RAM PRODUCTS bought this plate/ball to go with the RAM suction mount to hold up a small radar detector. The Ram suction cup falls off the window every day. Followed all instructions from RAM,still falls off. I have over $40 into this system and the $2 suction cups from escort work way better. Don't waste your money on this junk. Express mounts shipped fast and I do not have a problem with them, just RAM stuff in general. Recommend? YES 57 viewers found this helpful.
