RAM MOUNTS ARE VERY GOOD
Pros: very well build, strong and solid like a rock.
Cons: available in black only,
The RAM mounts is the best system known to me to mount anything on everything. My project was to attach search light to the right rail of my 20ft Bayliner cuddy boat. This part was one of three I needed. Works perfectly with other two parts, also from RAM: Stainless Steel Rail U-bolt Base and Double Socket Short Arm. When picking parts - pay attention to size of the balls and sockets, also important is shape of the mounting plates for both ends - your device and the surface to which it will be mounted. They have plenty of types and sizes to chose from.
