EXCELLENT FIT.
Pros: multiple mounting holes, good size and height
Cons: none for my use.
I bought this item for mounting a sirius antenna to a satellite radio installation on the handlebars. It is an excellent size for mounting the standard low profile antenna that comes with todays Sirius radios. It sits at the proper angle and height as well so the antenna is not setting right on top of the radio. Plenty of holes available on this plate for mounting options with no drilling. Just what I needed for the job.

WORKS GREAT FOR A CAR MOUNT
Pros: saves tons of work - reception perfect
Cons: needed bigger screw to attach ballmount to cradle
Used on an 09 Jetta with a Sirius Starmate 8 fit perfectly between the diamond ball mount and the cradle and eliminated all the hassle of routing wires that sirius recommends. reception is great

MAGNETIC RADIO ANTENNA MOUNT
Pros: makes for a neat and clean installation

This item was for installation on a 1984 GL1200 Aspencade. It worked well for my application. It bolted to the back of my radio and the magnetic antenna simply sticks to the top of it. I had the antenna wire cut to do away with the excess length that I did not need. I postioned the antenna bracket forward over the radio. It acts as a sunshade and so far has worked great. The angle of the bracket, in my case, is in line with my line of sight, so I only see the very edge of it, So far the radio/antenna combination has worked great.

SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE
Pros: easy installation, effective platform, inexpensive
When I wanted to add XM sat. radio capability to my Garmin Zumo 550, I needed a platform to hold the GXM-30 antenna. This item fit the bill perfectly. Sits between the GPS and the cradle, 10 minute installation, maybe less if you're quick. Holes line up with the Zumo 550 handlebar cradle and GXM-30 perfectly. Right after installation, participated in a rally and rode 568 miles in two days, never missed a beat in my XM reception. Very clever little piece.

PLATE
The pre-drilled mounting holes for the attenna were not correct. I had to drill one new hole. I suggest drilling at least two sets of holes to allow different ways to position the attenna.

FAST DELIVERY

works as described ! Was especially impressed by GPS City though. One hour after my order (Thursday 6pm) I received my tracking and shipping info, a day and a half later I received the items..all for $1.99 shipping. They were about half the cost if I would have purchased directly from RAM. They ARE now my favorite place to shop online!

This is an excellent mount. The one thing I caution buyers on is to check with the Radio Manufacture to see what distance you need between the radio and antenna. I mounted the mount behind the GPS mount but my XM reception is not as good. I later found out the Zumo 665 antenna should be a minimium of 3 inces from the unit, with a recommendation of 11 inches. I just need to move the mount for the antenna.

GREAT ANTENNA MOUNT
This bracket works well for mounting the satellite antenna, the metal is rigid so you don't have to worry about it flexing in the wind if you mount it onto a motorcycle mount as I did.

GREAT ANTENNA MOUNT

I recently purchased a Garmin GPSMap 478 for use on my motorcycle. While searching the various options for mounting it to my bike, I came across the RAM Satellite Antenna Mount. With the Garmin, I activated the XM radio, and XM Weather feature and needed a place to mount the larger than average "hockey puck" antenna. RAM Mount to the rescue! This mount is perfect for the GXM30 antenna. The antenna is magnetic, but also has screw holes to mount it securely to the mount with no chance of it falling off. This antenna mount comes highly recommended by me for anyone looking for a way to mount their satellite antenna.
